  1. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 March 2023

I was admitted to A&E recently on a Sunday evening for high blood pressure etc. Excellent ambulance crew. On arrival the situation in A&E was very very busy. Booked in and triaged, seen by numerous members of staff, all professional and with positive attitudes All processes explained, with ongoing updates on likely actions etc. Many patients complaining on having to wait, with no apparent regard for the situation of other unwell patients and over loaded staff. The word entitled springs to mind. A dedicated, professional team and a credit to the hospital. My thanks to the staff. If you have a choice be admitted there.....

  5. Review titled A&E visit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by L Berry - Posted on 25 January 2023

I was told to visit A&E today by my GP surgery and arrived at about 10.30. I was triaged within about 10 minutes of checking in, and from then on every interaction was prompt, and every doctor, nurse, and other caregiver (including the lovely chap who came round offering tea and food to the people waiting while being treated) was so pleasant. Each step was explained and I felt very well looked after. I ended up being there for about 8 hours, however about 6 hours of this was waiting for results of 2 sets of bloods to come back, which they obviously have no control over, and in the other two hours I had various other tests done. If you have to be in A&E, being treated this well makes a rubbish day much more bearable.

  6. Review titled Professional and Efficient Department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jean - Posted on 06 January 2023

Very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the walk-in X-ray department today. I arrived just before 9am and registered and within minutes I was seen by a young nurse who guided me through the changing procedures and the beautifully clean cubicle and gown provided. Within 5 mins I was called for my Xray and the whole visit to this department was over within 15 minutes of my arrival. A very well deserved pat on the back for all of the staff within this department.

  9. Review titled Very Impressed

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lois - Posted on 19 January 2023

All the staff I encountered at Worthing Hospital A&E, Resus & Majors are fantastic - they were kind to patients and kind to each other - very impressed with how they managed demanding patients in the wards with kindness and dignity. Although I came into hospital during NHS strike I never felt my care was compromised in any way. Staff appeared highly motivated and care about what they do and dont complain about each other. The consultant and doctors were first class - knowledgeable and took time to listen and explain. I felt safe and left with a clear idea about post-hospital follow-up for my condition. Highlights - the cheerful Resus team in A&E - all staff taking bloods were gentle and professional - impressive quality of medical staff, nurses, doctors, junior doctors and consultants - clean & airy environment - very impressed generally.

  10. Review titled First class treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Bill - Posted on 13 January 2023

I attended A&E with bowel issues and I was quickly moved through triage into treatment. During my time in A&E and subsequently in the emergency ward I received brilliant care and the staff in all areas couldn’t have been more compassionate or caring. Despite at times being under considerable pressure due to the sheer weight of numbers of patients they carried on in a cheerful manner and frankly nothing was too much trouble. I was constantly put at ease and I was kept updated as to my medical situation and the course of treatment I was undergoing. I cannot imagine having been dealt with any better. Staff anyone would be proud of.
