  1. Review titled Amazing Hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gary Brownrigg - Posted on 01 November 2022

Yesterday I attended Whiston Hospital Endoscopy Unit for a gastroscopy and colonoscopy. I would like to thank all the staff involved in my investigations, really couldn't thank them enough. From walking in, though a little nervous, I was put at ease. I was offered anything I needed to help with the procedures, but chose local anaesthetic for gastroscopy , gas and air for colonoscopy. Everything was explained to me and felt totally reassured. Then, during both procedures, all staff were reassuring, friendly and professional. I feel I made the right choices regarding sedation. Yes, a little uncomfortable, but nothing more. Would do the same again. Off to recovery, where again, everything was explained to me and staff were fantastic. We are so lucky to have Whiston Hospital as our hospital. Always immaculate and amazing staff. Please thank the unit concerned from me. Thank you......

Attended A&E was triage quickly , by 2 lovely members of staff . Very well organised rooms to move you too in regards your stages of assessment. Sandwiches / tea and coffee provided during my wait also at tea time which was very much appreciated. District Doctor and Nurse who attended to me on the ward I was on for a few hours were fabulous and caring and compassionate. Thank you for taking care of me . 😊

  3. Review titled One of the worst

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Tim Harris - Posted on 02 September 2022

After waiting over a week and occupying a bed in that time I'm still waiting to be discharged. After being told issues have been resolved at 10:00am I'm still waiting for this mornings ward round and it's now 17:45 and still no sign. I know I'm not the only patient here but after been given the news that the cancer has returned I'd have expected a little more empathy and care. I have little enough time left without having to wait another weekend all because of a poor attitude to patient care. Literally God help anyone under the care of this attitude.

  4. Review titled Thank you for great nursing

Rated 4 stars out of 5

My mum had a bad fall resulting in a broken nose and facial injuries. Accident and Emergency is a horrible waiting experience. But, I want to thank your team, particularly the triage nurse and minor injuries nurse on duty last Thursday night who were amazing in their professionalism, communication, sense of humour, and in providing reassurance and care. Please commend them.
