I had to come into A&E with severe Abdominal pain. I was incredibly impressed with everyone at Wexham Park that interacted with, thank you for making a potentially unpleasant experience something positive.

  2. Review titled Rubbish service lack of communication and transparency

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mo khan - Posted on 19 June 2024

My wife was rushed via Ambulance to wph we arrived no one saw her for 2 hours then she was seen by a nurse who only took her bp and stats then in the waiting area she developed chest pain I’m a jr dr myself for background I raised this with the front of house team who seem unbothered by this which is detrimental to patients care I politely asked for a dr or nurse to do an Ecg we then were told we have to wait following this we were waiting almost another hour I then went up again then was told knock on the nurses door I did so she then came out after 15 mins they did an ecg then we were sent back to the waiting area she was then called for a blood test I was told I can’t go in with her despite me being in the room with all the other clinicians I find this unacceptable she was the cannulated without consent

  3. Review titled Real Poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Neil - Posted on 07 May 2024

Really poor experience went in for Day surgery expected to come home unfortunately had to stay due to the amount of pain, but tbh nobody cared, that actually made me feel like a burden from time I entered for my operation until they kicked me out, (apart from anesthetiser team before my operation and obviously the surgeon as I was a sleep - there was a couple night nurses that were nice and polite) so I don’t want to tarnish everyone —- the recovery team need to learn some manners and how to treat individuals as ppl and not stereo type everyone , each individual person has different threshold, but these NHS doctors and nurses expected to be treated like they are gods gift to world inside and outside of work, so do the rest of us measly humans also btw I have children who are trained Dr’s too. I kept complaining that my pain was high and the kept giving me morphine small doses or high I have no clue. However it didn’t work. One nurse sarcasticly said I guess your staying the night, as if I was being done a favour when last time I checked I have been contributing to nhs via my fairly decent wages. The other nurse for late was more pleasant and told me my blood pressure had dropped, that’s why I was wondering potentially why I was feeling weak and disoriented nice guy, sorted me even when they took me to a ward, the night nurse there was nice too over night, in the morning shift change I then felt different again, one nurse making comments like some ppl just don’t want to leave - we need the beds etc. A little later dr came to do rounds he came to check, and said all is good no swelling, no bleeding etc and nurse said Bp is a bit low - response was will be fine , go home - didn’t even bother to ask how I felt, I was in a lot of pain still and I was thinking are you that ignorant , my area of operation was swollen like a beach ball and another part next to it. I told them about passing water was painful- told me see my gp if an week not gone - thinking really ! So I got up in a lot of pain and still very disoriented and called my family to pick me up. The nurse asked me if had been given surgery socks as well as for prevention against clotting when I was leaving I said no, looked confused. Anyway then I got ready ready to leave - they gave me a couple off dressing and medication - but still no socks or any antibiotics. Another nurse told me not to rush leaving as she could see I was unwell, but I had to get out of there. It’s unbelievable in this day and age we treat ppl like this and then wonder why NHS is in such a state, you pay all this money for ignorance now I have arranged to see a my doctor when I should be recovering instead I am feeling depressed and stressed due to the poor after care.

  6. Review titled Efficient and kind

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Terry Tippell - Posted on 05 April 2024

Took my wife to A&E at about 5am the reception staff were kind and helpful, the triage nurse saw her immediately and after that as it was categorised as non-urgent there was a wait of about 4 hours however her blood was taken for testing. When we saw the the doctor he was extremely efficient, had all the results to hand and reassured us about the situation. We left with a clear plan of what we had to do next, thank you very much we value our local hospital. Well done

  7. Review titled Caring professionals

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 April 2024

I was very very nervous about my up and coming procedure - I was received by a cheerful kind young gentleman who put me at ease and made me feel safe and happy. All the staff in the ward were excellent and worked so well as a smooth team. The operating Doctor was also excellent- explained everything very clearly and put me at ease and made me feel safe in his hands. I went home feeling like I had had the very best care anyone could have. The staff were attentive and empathetic. I don’t know how they manage to be so consistently upbeat. They certainly looked after me to the highest standard. Thank you so much.

  8. Review titled Brilliant nurses

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 July 2024

Spent 8 nights in respiratory ward. Very poorly. Nurses were amazing and cared for me so well, especially one very special nurse from Colombia. Consultant visited a few times during my stay and I was treated with kindness and support. Every person I came in to contact with be it nursing staff, catering staff, doctors etc., were very caring. Thank you

  9. Review titled Positive experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Christine - Posted on 29 March 2024

I was admitted for day surgery at 1pm where I was taken into the ward and prepared for my procedure. The staff were so friendly and kind and also very reassuring. I was seen by the anaesthetist and surgeon who explained everything that was going to happen before being taken to theatre. Luckily there were no delays and I was in recovery before I knew it. Again staff in recovery were brilliant, I was back on the ward after about an hour where I had a drink, something to eat etc and was discharged by 5.30 pm after a catch up with once of the surgical team I also had a follow up call a few days after. Overall I was very pleased with my experience and feel lucky that we have our amazing NHS. Thank you to everyone (I’m so sorry I can’t remember many names)
