    I recently had treatment for an inguinal hernia repair at Wansbeck General Hospital, and I cannot praise the staff and services enough. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. The medical team on ward 15 demonstrated exceptional professionalism, compassion, and expertise. They took the time to explain my treatment plan thoroughly, ensuring I understood every step. The nurses were attentive, ensuring my comfort and well-being throughout my stay. The cleanliness and organization of the hospital were impressive. The facilities were modern, and safety protocols were diligently followed. It’s evident that patient care is their top priority. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone on ward 15, especially the consultant who performed the operation; for their dedication and commitment to providing outstanding healthcare. Thank you for making a challenging time more manageable and for your unwavering support. I wholeheartedly recommend Wansbeck General Hospital to anyone in need of medical care.

    I had a knee replacement on 9th May. I needed an overnight stay. I was very well cared for by all involved. Staff were very friendly, helpful, supportive and professional. There was good communication prior to and during my stay in the Wansbeck. Received good information post surgery linked to a comprehensive discharge plan. Thank you to all involved!

    While receiving tests and diagnosis has been good, the follow up of receiving test results and paperwork is not good. There was two blood test done two weeks ago and neither has been posted to my test results on the NHS app. There was also a follow up letter from the consultant done over a week ago , I have neither received in the post or been posted on the NHS app. While this may be an acceptable practice , the mental stress this imposes on individuals of not knowing is not good.

    I attended for a Cystoscopy Procedure the Nurse Practioner who carried out this treatment was professional and experienced and most of all made me feel at ease in a very stressful process. Bother her and her team were so good at there job it was impressive to see. Visit to Wansbeck excellent in every way easy to park, easy to find department however most of all the treatement from checking in at receoption to actually receiving the treatment was 1st class - thankyou

    I visited the centre just after noon and after a very brief wait I was assessed and given an appointment for 3.20 in the afternoon. I returned for that appointment and again, following a very brief wait , I was examined and given anti biotics. I was back in my car by 3.45. I was visiting Newcastle for the weekend so I felt very thankful for such excellent care. Many thanks to all the staff who helped me today.

    Attend x Ray dept for ct colon with contrast. I found the experience very poorly handled being disabled I was not asked if I could manage getting undressed I was not asked or given help to get on the ct scan table especially as I informed staff at the beginning that I had a hip fusion wich makes it very difficult for me to sit let alone lay down.the same for getting off the machine or dressing felt in particular the male member of the team very unhelpful as if he wasn't interested in being there very painful experience both physically and emotionally!!

    From entering the hospital until leaving i found the whole experience faultless. All the staff were very friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble. Doctors and nurses and anesthetists were happy to explain any procedure you asked about and they were very reassuring. The whole atmosphere around staff was relaxing whilst remaining professional.

    Although busy in urgent care waiting times to be assessed were very reasonable. The appointment system for further care worked well too. Really appreciate the friendly staff, from reception to treatment, who made the experience as good as it could be in the circumstances
