My son had an appointment this morning and even though he couldn't get the answered he hoped for, he came out happy feeling that he had been listened to. The gentleman we saw listened very patiently as my son spoke a million words per second, he acknowledged what he was saying and responded appropriately. He talked directly to my son and explained everything carefully to him. Very impressed with the attention to detail and care. This gentleman made my son's experience a very positive one. Thank you.

I arrived at 3pm on the Thursday with high blood pressure and shocking headache. I was checked over quite quickly but had to be admitted to assessment suite didn't get my bed till 1.30 Friday morning. But had to wait in A&E waiting room . I wouldn't like a job in that place from reception, nurses doctors, security, police ,porters the lot it was embarrassing to say how people can treat these hard working people it's a disgrace there was more police than nurses apart from waiting along time for my bed I was treat really really well thank you x

Review titled Great service

Attended eye casualty this morning after little girl scratched my eye. The staff on reception were very friendly abd I was seen by triage nurse within 5 minutes, waiting only another 5-10 to be seen by doctor. Once in with doctor they were very kind and considerate of discomfort and talked me through the examination process. The whole visit was completed within 30 minutes. Once again, many thanks to our amazing NHS staff! We’d be lost without you.

Review titled Hysteroscopy Information at WHU
by rand22 - Posted on 07 November 2022
I suffered a barbaric outpatient hysteroscopy at the Women's Health Unit some time ago. I was sent absolutely no information beforehand. Nor could I find any on the hospital website as your link to hysteroscopy information returned info on hysterectomy. That was corrected for a short while but now it's wrong again. I don't want other women to go into that room totally unaware of what you're about to do to them. Please correct the link (again) to provide information on hysteroscopy. Also, include some information as per the RCOG leaflet, on which groups are at risk of sever pain.

Review titled Fantastic service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was triaged in accident and emergency yesterday, and was assessed and patched up (excellent service-thank you) and given an appointment today at the plastic surgery clinic. I was assessed and had a plastic surgery operation to repair a severed tendon the same afternoon. This is such a fantastic service, so quick! I don’t think people in this country realise how lucky we are having this all for free. In America this would have cost thousands of pounds. Thank you so much to all the staff who looked after me, I really appreciate all your hard work in the job and all the training you have done in order to look after me to such a high standard. The North East has excellent hospitals and much shorter waiting times than down south. I know some people complain about waiting but the staff literally don’t stop all shift.

Went there really nervous and anxious and every person I came across in the department made me feel welcome and extremely comfortable. Genuinely caring people who have no judgment in whatever decision I wanted to make regarding myself. Gave all the right information and care for the procedure and after the procedure was everything you could want in that situation. Thank you!
