    I was staying in the area and required urgent treatment due to rib pain and Shortness of breath. I couldn't fault the service everyone acted quickly and professionally an amazing team. The people in the waiting room with me where also very friendly and looked after me as I was on my own. Thankyou

    Attended A&E on Tuesday morning, referred to Plastic Surgery Hand Clinic. Received consultation appointment for following morning, and procedure carried out same afternoon. All staff so supportive & friendly. Excellent experience all round!

    I was referred to the Acute Medical Unit in the middle of the night and checked in at 02.30. From the moment I arrived all staff were friendly and professional. It is clear that patient welfare is paramount. I was routinely kept informed of the progress of my case, what treatment / procedure to expect and why. I also felt consulted instead of sermonised. Having moved from London where it seemed that the objective was to discharge patients at the earliest opportunity, it was refreshing and surprising to find myself in a hospital where I was expected to remain until the doctors were 100% satisfied that it was safe for me to do so. Keep up the good work. Southmead should be a template for other hospitals.

    Supported my 86 ye old father to the vascular dept at Southmead and the nursing staff, technician and professor that we met were just wonderful ! So caring and thoughtful - Thank you all so much for such a great service.

    Took my father in law to the vascular clinic, he was very nervous about it. But everyone looked after him so kindly and so professionally. He, and I left feeling very impressed with how he was looked after. Thank you.

    I had an appointment with leading othopeadic surgeon within 14 days of accident Surgery was undertaken 4 days later. Every single member of each of the NHS teams were caring professional and took time to explain and make me feel at ease. I cannot praise these people enough. In these days of knocking the NHS my experience could not be better. Thank-you from the bottom of my heart

    I was taken to the hospital in Oct last year with a subarachnoid haemorrhage and left MCA aneurysm. This is something that could have leaded easily in death or caused a disability for the future, so a very serious issue. I was discharged on 5th December last year and within I was in the hospital for all the doctors, nurses made a performance that was really incredible and I will never forget and always be very grateful for them what they did for me. I'm Hungarian and altogether I spent 10 years in England and a kind of person who never use to be sick usually and a second health care experience after a dentist but the professionalism and how my treatment was like I felt a must to write a review as my case was really one in which I could have easily died in. I took all advices and recommendations on the discharge sheet and the doctor here in Hungary also told me so. I was advised to have a lot of rest and avoid to work for 3 months at least. I would describe my recovery and condition from an addictologist who is the best on his field here in Hungary. Who said the following:"in spite of happening what happened to you last year in October what condition you are in now both physically and mentally is really unbelievable, it's like more than a miracle". This was the performance of gate 6b and I can't tell how grateful I am for what treatment I was given there. To have a subarachnoid haemorrhage and an aneurysm is not something to have for anyone but the truth is I was extremely lucky to have been treated there as now I can announce I recovered as I have written above. I would like to thank for all of you what you have done for me, you saved my life and your performance was absolutely legendary and I would like to send the best wishes for all of you for the future.     Unable to attend my 10.40am appointment with Orthopaedic consultant due to my inability to find a car parking place on site. I spent 45 minutes searching, visited the Brunel multi twice and the two other parking areas near the Monks Park entrance without sucess. Off site road parking is impossible due to yellow lines. At that point I returned home after notifying Appointment Booking of my failure to attend my appointment. My current mobility issues, I have pre-planned hip replacement op next month and the appointment missed was for the other hip & a knee replacement so 40 - 50 yards walking is the max I am able with crutches. Between 10.00 & 10.30am ask yourself how patients are expected to leave the Brunel car at that time having been seen or treated, I witnessed Nil. What a waste of time on everyones part today including my own in an attempt to see my orthopaedic consultant, I sincererly hope it is not repeated when I have a new appointment. Quite frankly I am surprised and appalled at the lack of car parking at Southmead Hospital.

We currently have over 1000 parking spaces solely for patient's to use but we have also seen a huge increase in patients visiting our hospital for emergency purposes and for outpatient appointments recently, this may explain the difficulty that you had on the 11 October. I hope a follow up appointment was booked for you and wish you luck with your onward journey.     Was referred to SM allergy team in October 2023 after experiencing Anaphalactic shock after being given an epidural in Shepton Mallet. Since then have heard absoultely nothing from them despite ringing 5 times and leaving messages. I cannot even get a private hospital to operate on my knee due to this hold up so their incompetence and lack of interest has completely messed up my life and had a serious impact on my well being generally. How they are allowed to treat people like this is beyond me when its a serious condition and potentially life threatening.
