Review titled Inefficient
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Paul Robertson - Posted on 17 October 2024
Told to come for follow up at 2pm .. drove 30 miles 60 round trip. Was told on arrival next in but after 1 hour still no sign of consultation. Asked again and was told it was a trauma clinic first time I’d heard that. Tried to expedite appointment without success. All very slow and archaic in my view . Not patient friendly at all. Need to update patients on their waiting time! Also lots of staff moving around nit seeing much activity So upset aborted consultation

Review titled Terrible Service

29/09/23 visited A&E with my 20month old daughter and 5 week old daughter after being advised by 101 to come up, was seen quickly and within 2hrs of arrival was admitted to Sarum ward for a assessment of my 20month old, this was at 6:30pm. This is where the good stops as we where sat in that room until just gone midnight with a 5 week baby waiting to be seen, we asked multiple times what the situation was and if we could leave and just return another day but kept getting told it would only be 30 more minutes until we where seen. Every single person that entered the room we had to explain my daughters issue in detail over and over again, they had zero consideration for my 20 month old daughter who was in pieces understandably after being in a room over 6hrs, my 5 week old had to sleep on a pillow on the floor while we waited After all that the consultant spent all of 15 minutes looking at her, didn’t really know what the issue was and sent us away with some antibiotics and took a swab sample, she’s still in a lot of discomfort we have just decided to administer medication at home and go through our GP I have never felt so let down by a hospital in all my life and I feel the care I received was far from satisfactory, I would be very hesitant to take my daughter back to Salisbury in the event another A&E trip is required

Review titled Fantastic service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Had an ecogram on Friday. Everything on time. Staff were brilliant. All friendly and efficient. We travel from the Isle of Wight as so impressed by the cardiac dept in Salisbury. Just feel sorry for the staff who have to queue up at the M&S coffee shop for at least ten minutes in their break to grab a coffee! They deserve better.

Patient is disabled, waiting at A&E 8 hours (it is 3am in the morning), I had an X-ray, waiting for a Dr to tell me the result. One x-ray in 8 hours. Have not seen a doctor in the last 3 hours. Horrible place

Review titled Wonderful department
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sally Roche - Posted on 24 August 2024
I had to travel for 1.5 hours to Salisbury as my local hospital could not offer me an appointment for a colonoscopy. I was pretty stressed by the journey, concern about parking etc. All the staff were helpful, friendly and reassuring. Very stage was clearly explained and my questions answered. I cannot praise all the staff highly enough. They made a difficult situation, for me, disappear and become easy. I want to commend all staff , from the specialist nurse who greeted me, the surgeon, right through to the nurse who gave am a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Had an early Sunday morning appointment. The team were extremely professional, informative and helpful in how and what the procedure was going to entail. Afterwards they were still interested and understanding. Just cannot say a big enough thank you. You are very appreciated indeed.

Presented last Saturday at approx 5pm with shoulder injury. Excellent service from start to finish. All the staff were lovely and so kind. After Xray confirmed broken shoulder. Sent home with a sling and pain killers. Will be called back for further review. Whole procedure in under one hour. Cannot express my gratitude enough - Well Done Salisbury A & E!!
