    I was referred for a dermatology issue and have been so impressed with the speed with which I have been seen following an initial assessment, the professionalism of the staff including those booking appointments for me, and the communication throughout the process. Absolutely brilliant all round. Thank you so much.

    Arriving in accident and emergency. I received excellent care, from caring and able staff. I felt safe at all times and infirmed. Transfered onto l2 the excellent care continued. I experienced nursing staff who demonstrated excellent skills and empathy. Thank you

    Endocrinology department at Salford Royal hospital has been for me a revelation. I apparently have my current condition which is being treated with a caring and professional attitude. The staff are friendly and explain everything that is relevant to my condition. I have nothing but praise for their care .This is from the consultants down to the nurses. Many, many thanks.

    The staff on HASU ward where amazing. My mother was admitted recently and she could not have received better care. All the staff deserve a medal there care of my mother was exceptional. I cannot praise them enough. Keep up the good work and thank you all so much.

    I had thyroid removal surgery on 8/12/2023 and after the surgery was put on Ward b2. The care I received was excellent, kept me up to date with everything that was happening, always made sure I was comfortable and always on time with medication. Nothing was too much trouble and there was a nice friendly atmosphere on the ward with staff and patients. Even now 8 days after I was discharged a parcel has arrived in the post with my phone charger in that I had left behind so good honest staff as well as they easily could of put it in lost property or just told me they had it but to post it to me without me even asking them if I had left it there was a really nice thing to do. This was my first ever stay in hospital and my impression of the Nhs , Salford Royal and particularly all the staff on Ward b2 couldn’t be any higher. Thank you.

  6. Review titled 14 hour wait, walked out

    Arrived at A&E at 3pm with redness and pain in my arm. Told it was an internal infection, possible sepsis by the on call GP. Refereed over to A&E canular fitted ready for IV antibiotics. After several hours maybe 6 was told I was to be seen soon. Ended up walking home at 5am still not being seen. I am now going to go elsewhere to be seen. Absolutely diabolical. I completely understand the NHS is in crisis, however 14 hours, I just hope I don’t have sepsis.

    Cannot fault this clinic at all! Excellent service from the start, just rang up re a problem with CPAP mask as a new user and seen the same morning with replacement mask. Reassuring that they say you can contact them with any concerns by phone ! Lovely helpful staff !

    This hospital has gone down hill over the years. I have been on a waiting list for gynaecology since 22nd November 2022 were not November 2023 I rang back in September as I received a letter asking if I still want to keep my appointment so I rang them to confirm this. The lady I spoken to couldn't speak English very well so I rang the day after to make sure i was ti be kept on the waiting list, so I rang today 29/11/23 to be told I have been taken off the waiting list so the lady then cancelled that off my notes and said I have been waiting for 48 weeks and it's a 53 week wait when I rang in September I had been on the list 45 weeks and now there telling me it's been 45 weeks I have another 5 week wait. Not happy with the services salford royal provide at all

    1st of all want to make it clear that all of the staff encountered were amazing and trying their best, but it is clear the system is broken. Arrived with my partner at 7pm and she was not seen by a doctor until 8am and was discharged another 5 hours later. 13 hours to be seen by a doctor is not acceptable in our modern society. The wait was unbearable in the A&E waiting room with uncomfortable seating (trust me try 13 hours sitting on them), some vending machines not working, litter all over the waiting room, tedious music playing, broken toilets in the gents. It’s quite clear that a 13 hour wait is normal. Communication needs to be improved the wait estimates kept increasing 1st 4 hours then 6. Then 9 and goes on. It would be quite easy to have wait times and other information digitally displayed to keep people informed.

    Went today to the Immunology dept over an allergy investigation. My first impressions on entering were ‘wow’. The place was light, clean, well sign posted and staff were smiling and extremely helpful - I felt like I was in an airport about to embark on a holiday! Then when it came to my appointment, I was seen exactly on time by the loveliest doctor, who really listened and made my ramblings feel very valid - he also took some time just to check on my mental health, though unrelated to my visit, this meant a lot. I wish everyone could have an experience like I had today, and that all hospitals were like Salford Royal. Can’t thank you all enough for the wonderful work you do.
