  1. Review titled Shambles

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Charlotte - Posted on 29 October 2022

Every experience I have had is a shambles, but my most recent one I was rushed in via ambulance, the paramedics were amazing. Then it goes down hill once you get to Russells Hall. Nurses shout all night, arguments, then put me with no immune system and contagious on a ward with 3 patients with flu/bad chests. Apparently the curtain is protection, they know a small virus could kill me. Two of these patients also had dementia and screamed for 24 hours straight meaning not a single seconds sleep, these patients were prezzing there buzzers for 2 hours having wet thereselves and no help, me all wired up seriouslg ill having to go tuck them in, pour them water, put socks on them and help them with the toilet. I have autism and sensory issues, so you imagine the ongoing scenes, the drs/nurses shrugged it off. Get told to self discharge if its a problem.

  2. Review titled Brilliant care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Charlotte Louise Jones - Posted on 25 January 2023

Hannah hands Midwife in delivery suite was the most caring compassionate midwife I met along side my entire pregnancy she was extremely patient an showed dedication to her role. She safely delivered my son and listened to my birthing wishes and encouraged me throughout and even more outstanding she stayed behind after her very long shift to ensure she followed me through right until the end. Who ever she may have next to deliver there baby will be extremely happy massive thank you will always be in my thoughts.

  3. Review titled Bad service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Shannon glaze - Posted on 17 October 2022

Booked an appointment for my 9 month old baby (dob 15.01.2022) through 111 who has a raised temp and fast breathing, was told I had an appointment 17.01.2022 12:15pm. Got called at 11:30am asking if I was still coming to the appointment and I said yes it’s at 12:15pm and they confirmed all ok. Turned up to the emergency department as advised and was informed I had no appointment and to fill a form in and would be seen. The ED was full to the brim of patients so waiting time would have been over 3/4 hours which is unacceptable as I had an appointment booked. As walking back to my car I had a phone call from someone in Russell hall saying come back and we will get you seen asap really sorry, turned back up and they said don’t know what your on about no one’s phoned you, unwilling to help and find out who had rang me so I left and went home. Just had a phone call asking where I was and if I’m bringing my baby in and I told them the situation and they said oh ok bye then. Completely unacceptable, this is for my 9 month old baby, he is still a baby and should receive better care than experienced. Really disappointed with the service and the fact no one seemed to know what or who rang me or where I needed to be. So I have dragged my baby up and down the hospital corridor for no reason to be charged parking for being in the hospital for 15 mins and treated poorly.

  5. Review titled Professionalism leaves a lot to be desired

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 October 2022

To all the nurses sat in a row near the a&e triage room; playing with each others hair and talking about your weekend plans, how very professional. I’ve now been here 7 hours being passed from pillar to post but as long as you’ve got your weekend plans sorted, it’s all good.

  6. Review titled Outstanding care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Charlotte Jane Cash - Posted on 06 November 2022

I recently gave birth to my daughter at Russell Hall Hospital, from the very first scan at 5 weeks pregnant to delivery and after care I cannot fault the care we recieved. The midwives that cared for me during birth and also every midwife that cared for us after delivery were professional, caring, kind and helpful. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed and did everything they could to help with the after care of me and my daughter

  8. Review titled Promises

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Julie - Posted on 04 October 2022

I was seen in the SDec clinic on 28th sep to be told I may have a clot on my lung, Ct scan done then I was told they needed a Vq scan because they couldn’t quite see everything, so put on blood thinners and still 7 days later waiting for a ventilation–perfusion scan, This is unfair when treatment and answers are needed , staff are over worked and stressed How long do I need to wait to get an answer on something so important to my health Discussion of my care was discussed in the waiting room on one occasion then in the corridor on the next

  9. Review titled Great Service and Effeciency

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Richard Hobbs - Posted on 22 September 2022

Was very pleased with my visit to A&E walk in centre. It was very clean and they staff were very polite. I was seen very quickly and given the help I needed. Overall great experience and was there less than 1 hour. My only issue was the car park. It had half of it closed and was very hard to walk to the A&E department. This should be open with all spaces available. It’s too busy a hospital to have the car park partially closed. More parking is needed.
