  1. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Funda Egemen - Posted on 23 May 2024

All doctors, nurses and staff took care of me very well. They’ve done all the tests I’ve needed, explained every step I went through, answered all my questions patiently and friendly. I know it’s their profession and job, but I felt more than welcome and in good hands myself. I’ve trusted them and felt safe that it’s so important when you’re sick and staying in a hospital. Even the food and tea service, cleaning of the environment was perfect. It sounds so weird to say, but I had good time there and even made friends. :)

My grandson had to have a MRI scan on monday afternoon he is 6 years old. Just wanted to say how kind caring and professional your staff are in the MRI scanning department. They were so good with him and also kept my daughter calm as she was anxious as well.

  3. Review titled Fantastic care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Danny - Posted on 11 May 2024

I have had two visits for endoscopy and one for oesphogeal manometry and 24hr ph monitoring over the last few months. The care I have received has been first class. From regular contact to ensure attendance (a shame this is required) to slick, timely care with no delays whilst at the hospital, I could not fault the care I received. Castle was spotless and evidence of a team who take pride in their job. The nursing staff that carried out the majority of my procedures were all excellent (and much less intrusive than any registrar that tried!) Sense of humour, care, compassion and empathy were all present and, for someone who hates being a patient, they helped immensely. To top it all off, I was in Outpatients 3 for 7 mins to have the tube removed after 24 hours. Thank you everybody.

  4. Review titled Amazing, caring staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chloe - Posted on 18 May 2024

I had a 9 day stay on Bramshott ward and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Every single Healthcare Assistant, Nurse, Doctor, Phlebotomist, Anaesthetist, Cleaner, Physiotherapist, Porter, Kitchen Staff or Student nurse I saw were professional, caring, kind, friendly, smiley and made me feel so safe and cared for. The autism and learning difficulty team were also great at making things easier for me during my stay. As much as I desperately wanted to get home I was sad to leave the staff as well because they were all just so lovely. I felt very safe and lucky to be in their hands. There was nothing that could have been done better and it absolutely felt like I was given the best care I could have received. I was a patient with complex needs but everyone was understanding and respectful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything everyone did for me and I really hope this review gets shared with the staff. I can't say it was 1 particular person either the standard of care was consistent throughout and even when I witnessed some patients giving staff a hard time they remained calm, professional and caring. You are all absolute gems!

I was very apprehensive about attending hospital for a hysteroscopy, but the doctor who carried out the procedure and the nurses who cared for me, went out of their way to make me feel at ease. The whole procedure was much less painful and traumatic than I was expecting. Thank you to all the staff who helped make my experience such a positive one.

  6. Review titled Excellent Doctor and Staff

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 May 2024

Arrived at hospital to find my appointment had been cancelled without me being informed. Reception was lovely and apologised for the error and went to try to sort it out. She returned and informed me that the doctor would see me and again apologised. The service I received from the doctor and the HCAs was above anything I could have hoped for. She was reassuring and explained everything to me. I could not have asked for more, especially during this uncertain time. The only negative was in regards to the Appointment Centre, who had not informed me of my cancelled appointment - clearly work needs to be done here.

  7. Review titled Colonoscopy procedure

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dave Turner - Posted on 14 April 2024

Had a routine colonoscopy. I opted for no sedative or gas, and as such was able to enjoy the caring, and informative procedure. Consultants and nurses were really nice, and kept me very informed about what was going on, making use of big screen monitor by my side. Strange to say it was a very enjoyable afternoon. Everyone I encountered was lovely, starting with reception. You are in good hands here!

Every step of my appointment was just great, arrived at the Radiology dept and was guided by the most professional, helpful team you could have asked for. Was put at ease on a day that could so easily have been the opposite. This dept illustrate just what we think off as the best of the NHS.

  9. Review titled Caring, kind, friendly & very thorough

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Heather Hagel - Posted on 30 April 2024

Everyone was so lovely and caring. My Daughter in Law was seen promptly & kept updated of the results and process. They were very thorough & explained everything fully. A lovely volunteer came round & offered us drinks & sandwiches. Members of the ‘breast team’ came down & spoke to us & reassured us of each test & step they were taking. Superb service, we feel very lucky to be so well cared for & informed.

  10. Review titled Orthopaedic excellence at the Royal Surrey Hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter J. Stage esquire - Posted on 24 April 2024

As an A&E Sunday admission with complications from highly successful Hip/Spinal related surgery in a London teaching hospital (on the previous Wednesday). The Royal Surrey Orthopaedic team (from consultant at the top to the Junior doctors at the bottom) dealt with the case with commendable and patient reassuring , skill , professionalism and clinical judgement. Their approach and decisions could and cannot be faulted. They were also proved to be sound by the end result. An excruciatingly painful gastric flare up was speedily dealt with and a 7 day discharge resulted on the following Wednesday. A stabilised patient left ready for his continuing hip/spinal care elsewhere -completely pain free. Of particular importance was the fact that the cautious discharge time scale adopted allowed , inter alia, less usual , potentially causative factors , to be suggested , investigated and isolated. This has the potential of great value to the patients final outcome.
