I was given an infusion of COVID anti viral treatment on a bank holiday. I was very grateful for the expert care as I look after my husband who has Alzheimer’s.

Review titled Great young persons rheumatology service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Aimee S - Posted on 17 March 2023
I have had an extremely positive experience of using the young person's joint service at the Hallamshire Hospital. As an active person it has sometimes been tough coping with having a chronic rheumatological condition, but the support I have received from this service has really helped me cope. The ability to get in contact with clinicians quickly and the specialised support I receive have allowed me to continue what I love whilst managing my condition. I really appreciate the relationship I have been able to build with the practitioners and how they are keen to support what I want to achieve. I cannot thank them enough.

Review titled Boots Pharmacy Waiting Area
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 March 2023
Sat waiting for a prescription. The floor is littered with cups and bottles. The bin is overflowing. There is a wooden pallet leant against the wall. It isn’t even 10am yet. Not very good at all.

by Fiona Jeffrey - Posted on 15 March 2023
I was seen promptly by the Doctor who was professional, kind and gave clear information. She also arranged for me to have minor surgery the same day if I was able to wait for 30 minutes. All the team were efficient and professional. Thank you

Review titled Great Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by L Coleman - Posted on 05 March 2023
I went to the Hallamshire Endoscopy Dpt yesterday. I was a little nervous as I have never had one before. The staff nurse who took my details and fitted a canula was very friendly. When I was taken through to have the endoscopy everyone was so happy and put me at ease immediately. I was given a light sedative and can honestly say I don't remember much about the procedure! I was given the result straight away too. Thank you all for making the experience so good.

Review titled 6 years of scans
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Savannah Silver - Posted on 23 March 2023
Exactly 6 yrs ago I had three neuroendocrine tumours removed from my abdomen. Since discharge, I’ve returned regularly for CT scans In radiography to check for any regrowth. Every time I am met by a smiling nurse who reassures and sets up the cannula. Today was no different. A professional, kind and reassuring person met me with a smile. The cannula was no issue and I waited patiently in the clean waiting area. When called, another kind face showed me through. Each person who dealt with me did so with kindness and patience. I cannot honestly thank this team enough for their dedication and support, their professional attitudes and their willingness to help their patients. My thanks to each of you for doing the work you do. It doesn’t go unnoticed and is absolutely appreciated.

Review titled Discharge Planning
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Denise - Posted on 17 March 2023
My daughter was told at 07.30 this morning she would be discharged today. I drove to collect her (3hrs) and arrived at 12.30. It’s now 15.42, and apparently the meds ‘aren’t even on the board yet’. I expect that’s code for another few hours to wait before a 3hr drive home from the neuroward.

Review titled Time taken
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 February 2023
I visited the Urology department with my Dad to discuss treatment options for his bladder cancer. We we treated with respect and care. He was given options for treatment and we were not rushed and had time to consider his options. We were given plenty of opportunity to answer questions. On leaving we felt we were given enough information and time to make his decision. Thank you
