I fainted late in the evening while on holiday. Although I faint about once every 5 years on average, my family had not experienced this before and were quite distressed by my loss of consciousness so called Emergency Services on 999. They sent out an ambulance with paramedics who ran an ECG and other tests after which I experienced severe vomiting so the paramedics recommended that I be taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske in the Ambulance for blood tests for indications of whether I had a heart attack. After blood tests at the hospital and further ECGs the Doctor said all were good but gave me a stern talking to in front of my adult son of the need to get to the bottom of why I faint. My son was reassured by the fact that he could hear the doctor discussing his proposed approach with a more senior colleague. The lecture I received from the doctor was perfectly delivered as a message from a young expert to someone who considers himself very fit for his age- firm but friendly. As a result I have followed up and will now have a pacemaker fitted.

I am sorry to read that you fainted whilst on holiday and required assistance. I can only imagine how distressing this must have been for you and your loved ones. I am relieved to read that the paramedics were able to assist you and perform an ECG and other tests which resulted to the decision to bring you to the hospital to be checked over and I am pleased your blood results were good. I'm glad to read the Doctor who cared for you was friendly and wanted to get to the bottom of your fainting spells and was able to provide you with the support you required and managed to arrange for a pacemaker to be fitted. I hope the pacemaker is helping and you are feeling the benefits from it. Hopefully you will be able to visit again for another holiday soon. Thank you again for your positive feedback. We as a trust value your comments as it helps us to learn and improve as a trust. I have been using the services of Treliske RCHT 'Ear Clinic' for quite a long time now. The service provided by your team there are excellent. Caring and skillful and always happy to give information about my particular ear problem and ongoing treatment. It is very reassuring to me to have this great service. Thank you all.

I had to attend the dermatology department at Treliske Hospital on the 5th July 2023 for MOHS Surgery. I can honestly say that my time spent there was one of the nicest experiences I've ever had when attending a Hospital. From the moment that I arrived I was made to feel completely comfortable and at ease. The staff were very efficient and professional but also friendly making it more comfortable for me. SO I like to say, a big thank you for making me feel that I was more then just another patient.

Experience very good - eyesight test - scan of eyes - saw consultant who answered questions - both eyes injected - went well. The only thing I would say is that I have been doing this for some years. The doctors say they want to see me in so many weeks - but it is often very difficult to get an appointment - and can be 13 weeks for example instead of 6 or 8.

My pre treatment and Selective Laser trabeculoplasty: I was asked my date of birth and address. Given 3 different eye drops. The nurse was very friendly and answered any questions I had. The next professional had a friendly chat first then asked me if I had any questions about the treatment and put me at my ease. The treatment by laser was pain free and only took minutes on each eye. A follow up eye drop was given 1/2 hour later as well as the one given once more before treatment. A third professional gave me more eye drops to check if the pressures had been affected adversely by the procedure. A prescription was given for anti inflammatory by the second professional. Eye drops which was filled by the hospital pharmacy. All in all I felt cared for and about.

Excellent service from the eye tests to the guy who arranged for me to go to Treliske for an operation on my eye. All staff very skilful in their work and pleasant. 10/10 in all aspects.
