I attended an appointment today at the Eye dept. I can only say how much I was so impressed by professional service I received, from arriving to my consultation with the Doctor, absolutely brilliant. Thank you very much.

  3. Review titled Urgent Treatment Centre

Rated 5 stars out of 5

What brilliant service. The appointment was like clockwork was seen within 5 minutes, then seen by a nurse within a further 5 mins, the whole process from the carpark at the back of the hospital to being back to the car was 45 mins. The nurse was thorough and friendly. I am impressed and feel very lucky we have NHS.

  4. Review titled Superb, fast and efficient care.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Came in off the street to A&E with a UTI. A&E staff were quick and efficient and treated me as a male without any embarrassment and with dignity. Care was excellent. My issues were escalated very quickly to the right department. Where the Urology team were fantastic at treating me within a couple of hours despite already having a full work load for their day. Resourceful and determined to get a positive outcome for the patient. We are so lucky to have this facility for free on our doorstep. Can't say a big enough "thank you" to both the A&E team and the Urology team who worked hard committing time, personnel and resources to my treatment and care. Simply excellent!

  5. Review titled Worst management I've ever known in any organization

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 March 2024

I've been waiting more than 4 years for my kidney stones to be sorted out. Nobody at any level of management/consultancy has been tracking my progress throughout the nightmarish 4 years that I've been trying to get treatment from this hospital. They took me off their waiting list for a whole year without telling anyone (I managed to get back onto it by consulting PALS). Nobody returns phone calls, and it's impossible to speak to a consultant or any kind of manager. When elements of treatment do happen, it's good quality, but trying to get each treatment in the first place or trying to speak to anyone there is absolute hell.

  6. Review titled Great nursing skills

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I’ve recently been discharged from hospital having spent two weeks on ward 8 of which a few days were also spent in AMU. I have nothing but absolute admiration for all the doctors who tried to find out what was wrong with me. The nurses who cared for me and my fellow patients - some of whom were demanding and difficult - and on the odd occasion downright rude!! All the other staff who fed me, made sure my beds were changed, I had clean towels and kept me hydrated, down to the porters who took me for all the tests i needed doing. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I’ve had pretty much every test you could imagine done. X-rays, ct scans, an MRI, lumbar puncture ,ecg , nerve testing, transfusions etc.etc. Basically no stone unturned. The wonderful crew who looked after me did so willingly with smiles on their faces even though they were often tired , stressed, overworked and having to deal with things no one would wish on anyone. All in all an eye opener. Thank you NHS.

brilliant service from the A&E team despite the pressure that the department is under. I was assessed within a couple of hours and received prompt care from the wonderful staff for a broken ankle.

  9. Review titled Fantastic A&E staff!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Margaret Sunderani - Posted on 09 July 2023

My granddaughter was rushed in with a dislocated knee yesterday in absolute agony. She has special needs and was distraught. Almost the moment she arrived she was assessed. Staff were kind, reassuring extremely efficient and it seemed like a well oiled machine that just sprung into action. I cannot praise them enough for the way they dealt with the whole situation. In a few short hours she was medicated, x rayed and her leg plastered. She was given crutches and discharged with care instructions. Bravo A&E you were under so much pressure that night but still took the time to be compassionate and professional with a frightened child and her family. Bless u all!

Dear Margaret Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and apologies for my delayed reply. We are pleased to hear how smoothly and efficiently the team came together to help your granddaughter in the best possible way, taking into account any special needs she may have so as not to cause more distress than a dislocated knee already had. We hope she has now made a full recovery and walking without any discomfort. Regards Patient Experience Team

  10. Review titled Poor abrupt treatment

Rated 1 star out of 5

From the moment I entered the procedure room I felt uncomfortable. The medic was abrupt and rude and made me want to burst into tears.
