  1. Review titled A thief is on the loose in ward b6

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Andrew - Posted on 10 March 2023

My mum, a vulnerable 81 year old woman, had her purse stolen while on ward b6, containing £150 of her state pension and various bank and retail cards. The hospital have not even had the decency to return any of my calls in regards of the theft, detailing what, if any, action they are taking. Disgusting!

We turned up for my wife's results. To be told the appointment had been cancelled as they had not got her results yet, this is 3 weeks after samples taken. We both took the afternoon off work. Now more waiting and worrying. Extremely disappointed with the service, Why did my wife not receive a text to say appointment was cancelled?????

  4. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Everything was explained very comprehensively by the surgeon anaesthetist and nurses. I originally went as a day patient. The operation was very successful unfortunately I had to be admitted. I was very quickly taken to a ward where I was looked after by an amazing team. They were extremely kind and helpful. When I could come home they explained the next steps. I was in the best care

  5. Review titled Wonderful People

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Rich.Saberton - Posted on 03 March 2023

I was admitted to A&E with a collapsed rightside lung.I was taken immediately for a operation to insert a drain and the actions of all the staff,i have no doubt saved my life.I was later transferred to ward B12,and my age of 83 and being profoundly deaf, must have made it difficult for the staff to look after me. Look after me they certainly did,--all of them. Many thanks to all of you,for your dedication to a wonderful proffession and especially to the staff of B12.

  6. Review titled Great overall support and experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sophie Bryan - Posted on 07 February 2023

I was admitted to a&e and seen so quickly by fantastic nurses, doctors and ent and then transferred to b5. The nurses, healthcare and ent on b5 were second to none supporting me with my care. They were so kind and very bubbly and uplifting which is exactly what you need when you are feeling so under the weather. I would not hesitate to be admitted to this was should I need to be again. With medication and laughs with the staff I have recovered well and home: thank you so much to the entire ward and a&e staff!! You’re amazing

  7. Review titled Amazing support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Tracey Lee - Posted on 23 February 2023

My son who has complex special needs was admitted to day surgery to have a cystoscopy and some wisdom teeth removed. The Learning Disability nurse was so supportive, sorting out a side room so not to distress him, he is very nervous of hospitals having had numerous unpleasant procedures. I cannot fault the staff and the excellent treatment he had. Everyone was so kind and helpful and everything was done to make it easier for him. A week later he needed to attend a&e and again his treatment was faultless.

  8. Review titled Terrible

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I had a surgery booked for the 2nd of feb 2023 and a pre op assessment on the 18th jan the pre op got cancelled twice and then the day before the surgery I was informed of it being cancelled as well but I thought I would be given a new date that would be maybe the next day or few days later however I was given a date that is three months later I have been on the wait list for over a year and then in December of 2022 I was informed of the surgery being In February but now it got cancelled I am very disappointed especially as I’ve been in pain for a long time and that the pre op also got cancelled twice the hospital is very unorganised and I’m sure I’m not the only one that has been affected like this the hospital really need to fix this and make sure that patients are able to get treated on the dates given and if not then at least they get a date not far from the original not a date that is months away.

  10. Review titled Still the best

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Elderly female - Posted on 28 February 2023

I've said it in previous years but it's a pleasure to repeat - the Diagnostic Imaging Team at Peterborough are simply the very best. Professional, thorough, understanding, empathetic, patient and great at putting people at ease and making sure they've understood. The latter is especially relevant for the elderly but when I'm in their care I'm never worried or frightened. They listen, give you time to ask questions and although they must be working flat out, they never give the impression of rushing you through on a conveyor belt. My sincere thanks to every member of the team in that Dept. I could not have asked for better care today.
