  2. Review titled Rude consultant

very rude consultant you dealt with me when I was experiencing deteriorating conditions after surgery. he was dismissive and condescending of my concerns. however his face went all quiet after he saw my ct scan results. i will do everything in my powers to tell family and relatives to avoid this hospital untill it improves its disastrous and shambolic ccq score.

Dear Christopher, Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback, I am not sure if you are talking about A and E or Urgent Care Centre to pass the feedback onto, please contact me at lnwh-tr.patientexperience@nhs.net so we can discuss further. I would also like to talk to you about filming a patient story, these are videos we make and share with executives at Board meetings etc which highlight any themes, issues and praise from the patient's view. 4. Review titled The Staff make up for the lack of support from the trust

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Hiren Ghelani - Posted on 10 November 2022

Our child was born in the hospital and we cant thank the amazing staff enough. All the staff in the Delivery Suite and Florence Ward were always very helpful, polite and professional. They consistently went above and beyond their duties and tried there best. We had a tough experience with the journey of giving birth and this was down to the lack of staffing and support from the trust. The trust needs to do more to support the maternity department. With out the staff in place the hospital would seriously struggle. Please support the staff and the department.

  5. Review titled Excellent Rheumatology Daycare

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 October 2022

I would like to thank the excellent Rheumatology Daycare Team. The staff are extremely efficient, friendly and care about patient safety. All of the staff wear masks and follow infection control measures. The team is a credit to the hospital and the NHS. The team is an excellent example of how patient care should be delivered. The team make patients who are immunosuppressed feel welcome and safe. This is a dedicated team who understand patient care. Thank you very much. It’s a pity that other staff throughout the hospital don’t care as much about patient safety because they don’t wear masks. They should follow the example of Rheumatology Daycare who demonstrate the importance of patient safety.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback about the Rheumatology Daycare team. It's nice to hear that the whole team made you feel at ease. The Trust does have Guidelines for mask wearing in line with the guidance from NHS England. Currently Staff should be wearing masks in Clinical areas, but mask wearing for both staff and patients is optional in communal areas. Please feel free to contact me at lhwh-tr.patientexperience@nhs.net if you would like to discuss this further, or to share your patient story about the Rheumatology Team. Kind Regards Pippa Kashmiry - Patient Experience Lead.

I had an appointment booked due to one of my hearing aids not working properly. I was seen on time and the Audiologist carried out tests on my aid to confirm the problem. I was given a new one on the spot. I am so grateful for the speedy and efficient way in which I was helped . Many thanks .

  7. Review titled I couldn't have asked for a better level of service

    by NMDLHM90 - Posted on 06 September 2022

I was advised to transfer to this hospital from Watford General due to a skin abscess on my face. All of the nursing and radiology staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient with dealing with my condition. In particular, the on-call female Maxillofacial consultant was exceptional in her attentiveness and treating/resolving my issue. The clarity and detail provided on the intended procedure as well as answering any queries I or my family had was highly professional, but also reassuring. I couldn't have asked for a better level of service from the consultant and the co-team. Thank you.

  8. Review titled Unbearable waiting times at urgent care

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 October 2022

My mum had a fall and was in agony so she phoned 111 and they directed her to be seen at Northwick Park Hospital at 10.30 @ Urgent care . We got there and queued at reception, then sat down to then be seen at the other reception (in the same area as the first reception?)really? then seen and assessed by other workers approx 1.5 hours later, told she definitely needed an Xray ( we knew that before we came), then we went to another area and was seen by a Dr about another hour later, then waited for Xray in another area for approx 1.5 hours and after than waiting about another 1.5 to be seen with the results, and then after that waiting approx 1.5 for discharge letter and told to wait for medication but by that time we'd be there almost 6 hours, my mum was hungry, thirsty, tired, in pain and we still had to pay for the ridiculous amount to park at the hospital. We didnt wait for the pain medication because I personally think another hour would have been too much to bear. This waiting time in an area, where there is only a vending machine for refreshments is ridiculous. As the waiting times are so long and people coming in here are really ill, with some people like my mum unable to walk without pain - why isn't there a water machine at least, because people are coming in unaided and cant leave to go toilet or get anything to drink or eat for fear of not being called - maybe give people an idea of how long they are going to have to wait - why to be registered and see by so many different depts - waste of time and resources. Need one reception, one assessment then onto the dept you need xray or whatever. I think this area need serious reassessing and management big time.
