    The parking is diabolical at best what the hell is going on. You are piling on more anguish to your patients and their friends and relations trying to get them to their appointments and visiting. Time to think outside the box and come up with a solution !!!! Off site parking with free buses in for staff plus as an incentive a free meal before they start the shift where bus leaves from. Come on it can not carry on as it is. Get that box out and start thinking !!!

    I went to get a Blood test this morning at my allocated time. It was absolutely appalling the way patients were being treated. I get to reception and ignored then the phone rings and for a further few minutes I was ignored. There seemed to be only 2 staff who spent an awful lot of time talking about the traffic while the patient queue was building up. My appointment was 7:50am. I would like to know how the 8:10 patient was called in before me. Nobody actually seem to care. I had to leave as I had to be at work. I waited two weeks for this appointment and have still not had it done. I hope I don't have anything to worry about from the blood test because you can be certain Phlebotomy don't care. It absolutely disgusting. There is no reassurance for nervous patients but you will hear a good conversation about the traffic to the hospital. I have no idea why you make people book in a time when people seem to turn up when they want and go straight in then people like me are completely missed. If a member of staff cannot read a list of who is next maybe I should be grateful that they did not come near me with a needle.

    I was treated promptly with kindness and understanding. My phobia of hospitals was acknowledged and managed very well. The assessment staff, nurses, doctors, radiologists, porters and domestic staff were excellent. The equipment was good and the room clean. Since my last emergency admission in 2021 the Casualty department has improved beyond measure. The staff morale was good and I felt secure in their care. Every effort was made to enable me to return home as soon as my emergency was addressed. Communication was good throughout. Congratulations.

    I visited the Fracture Clinic as an outpatient at Broomfield Hospital today. In spite of it being a busy department I was treated with respect and listened to as an individual patient by an understanding Consultant. This reassured me going forward. All staff assisted me in a helpful manner particularly the Nurse. The atmosphere is pleasant and efficient. This has been consistently so in all my visits over more than a year both as an inpatient and an outpatient.

    Have been 3 times recently , once for a consultation, once for a pre operation procedure and then for the procedure itself . Extremely happy on all 3 occasions. Very smiley happy staff .My pre op appt was lunch time so I chose to pay for parking on a local driveway which worked well , 7 minute walk . I had heard that parking is always a nightmare when you have an appt to get to as there’s never any space . One day I hope there will be the funding for a much larger car park . I am sure there are far more important priorities though . Staff are fab , well done . Parking is difficult. Thank you for your care .

    Seen in A&E in early hours of morning, referred to orthopaedics due to severe back pain. Excellent, professional, friendly staff in A&E, Notley Ward, Porters, MRI unit. Working under great pressures they provide an excellent service and I am grateful to every member of staff I dealt with. Thank you Broomfield hospital for your care and professionalism.

    Parking as a patient is extremely difficult. My relative works as a staff member and has to commute by public transport even when she has a car to drive there as the staff multi storey does not have enough spaces. The lack of spaces is absurd. The hard working clinical staff at least deserve a parking space to be able to do their job.

    Spent a week on Tiptree ward, Broomfield, surrounded and cared for, by compassionate, positive, professional staff. The whole experience, from the vital role of medical and mental care, all the way through to the no less important care and attention, given by the catering and cleaning staff, vital parts to ensure the safety for all, especially those like myself, at a vulnerable time. Tiptree ward, Broomfield, seems an especially highly active place, as I have a reoccurring situation that insists of short hospital stays, I can say with some experience, that Tiptree ward, Broomfield, maintains an exemplary high level to their care and attention to patients. Smiling through some of the most arduous shifts, that I witnessed myself. I would like to personally thank them, for making my stay both positive and inducive to my healing and getting better. I hope you will forward these comments to all, as they deserve to know, that all that that they do was seriously appreciated.

  10. Review titled Colours are so vibrant

    After having my cataract removed in September, I can see perfectly after 60 years of extremely bad sight! The colours are so vibrant, it has made such a difference to my life. Thank you all at the Vanguard unit and the outpatients dept for your skill , knowledge and care . No pain and I did not feel a thing during the operation ! Thank you NHS and all those who work within it !!! You are all miracle workers !!
