Review titled Superb care and commitment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Roger Iain Baxter - Posted on 29 October 2024
Just completed a cardioversion, which went without a hitch. Everything happened when it should and how it should. Everyone was friendly and warm and committed to giving excellent care. Even the little details were there, like hot chocolate and biscuits afterwards, an actually warm rug when I was feeling cold. Everythig was done to be informative and transparent in explaining what was going to be done and what was done - just as one could have wanted and hoped would be the case.

Review titled Fantastic experience today
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Kim Jones - Posted on 25 October 2024
Even though A&E is absolutely full today it has been a really great experience. As soon as I was triaged I was sent to the next waiting room where a lovely lady with a trolley was serving tea and the security personnel were directing people who needed directions, giving reassurance and generally keeping an eye out for anyone who needed additional al support. The nurse who took blood and my urine sample was cheerful and efficient so put me at ease, the teamwork was evident throughout where doctors were picking up tasks too to ease the jams. The doctor who saw me next was brilliantly thorough and answered all my question as well as tended to the multiple causes of why I was in A&E today

I was booked in for a sigmoidoscopy and I was extremely anxious before my treatment. All staff members on the endoscopy team were amazing and made me feel at ease.

Review titled Absolutely diabolical service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 September 2024
Empty A&E no new patients admitted but my son was still left to wait for over 4 hours with shattered glass in his arm. I could understand if they were inundated but there were no patients. Honestly the worst A&E experience I have had.

Review titled A lifesaving experience in ICU
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Zana Kastrati - Posted on 27 September 2024
I cannot thank the ICU team at Kingston Hospital enough for the exceptional care they provided to my mum during her stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and unwavering support. They kept us informed every step of the way and treated my mum with kindness and respect. Their dedication to patient care is truly remarkable, and it made a world of difference during such a difficult time for our family. I am forever grateful for their hard work and commitment. Thank you for everything!

Review titled Excellent staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by John Maxwell - Posted on 09 September 2024
I attended Kingston Hospital A&E on Saturday 7th September with a dislocated shoulder. Although A&E was busy, I was received with courtesy and humour and dealt with rapidly and efficiently. I was particularly impressed with the female triage nurse who, despite having been on duty for nearly 12 hours, went out of her way to see that I was seen by the appropriate specialists in short order. It was not a simple dislocation but the doctor and consultant involved both went the extra mile to see that it was correctly diagnosed and dealt with. Thank you.

Review titled Traumatic birth experience
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Rebecca Bridgett Farrell - Posted on 27 August 2024
I have had a very bad experience with giving birth at this hospital. Staff are very rude and they lack empathy and professionalism. I went in for an elective c section that suddenly turned into an emergency c section due to the anaesthetic doctor not listening to what I said which caused the baby's heart beat to drop. The intensive care is amazing but the post natal unit is the most terrible place to ever be for a new mum and a new baby. The mid wife was arguing with me when all I wanted was a pain killer recommended by another doctor in the same hospital. She was forcing me to take a pain killer that was not effective. I left the hospital with no pain killers and no idea how to even use the blood thinner shots I was given. Very unprofessional and heartless. I will never forget what I have been through and what my new born baby was going through and I will never forgive them.

Review titled Amazing Doctors
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Nikki Hughes - Posted on 28 August 2024
I spent 8 hours in A&E yesterday with my Mum who was having heart concerns. The doctor was so thorough, clear and kind and made my mum feel like he was leaving no stone unturned. He even asked us to wait so he could discuss the case with another doctor who then came and spoke to us and did a few more tests. We have left the hospital feeling reassured that my mom is now on the right course of action, has been taken very seriously and been listened too. In such a distressing time these doctors and all the staff here on the day 25th August 2024 couldn't have been better. Thank you.
