Review titled Bad experience
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Melissa jeszke - Posted on 05 September 2023
Was in pain at 2.30 am phoned 111 they said they will send a ambulance out .then I got a call 10 minutes later asking if I could make my own way there because it could take up to six hour's for a ambulance to come even though they said there no delays on the ambulance coming. so I got a taxi got there at 11.30am sat there till 4.45pm there was 7 ambulance driver just sat there talking & eating food. I was sat there in pain given nothing for the pain even after my husband told them I was in alot of pain twice.people was coming in after me but they was getting seen before me .most of the staff was to busy standing around talking instead of dealing with the patient that really needed their help .I find this disgusting the way I was treated and left there for so long on pain

First time I've been to Kings Mill a&e and I was very pleasantly surprised with it. As soon as we walked in the door with my daughter everyone was helpful and friendly. From getting out ticket in the car park to paying we had been there exactly 30 minutes!! Reception, triage and treatment all excellent!! Thank you so much for what is never a wanted visit!

The nurses in white uniforms in the emergency centre was rude, they did not offer me any snacks or drink, they could see that i was in pain, and did not offer me any pain relief, they just kept on walking past me, as i was just sat on the chair, they did not ask if i was okay, they was rude to me, they was talking about there private life, and they was also talking about another patient badly, which is very unprofessional, they had no right in doing this, and at the end of the day they are there to do a job, and they should not be treating the patients like this, i know there busy, but they still need to make time for the patients, but i felt neglected last night in the emergency centre, i was sat very close to the nurses station, and the nurses in white was just chatting and doing what they want to do, this is not acceptable, the doctors in the green uniforms was kind, polite, they was helpful and they understood me and knew how i was feeling

by Paul Zdanowski - Posted on 30 August 2023
I was admitted to A&E by ambulance with an infection not only was I feeling very unwell and not and extremely worried about the infection which had been treated several times with antibiotics.unsuccessfully by my GP. On arrival I was reassured and was treated with courtesy and kindness by everyone I saw . Subsequently I used the Emergency Day Care Centre for follow up treatment and can not praise the staff enough for everything they did to make me feel better...Thank You

Last week I saw my GP after finding a lump in my armpit. I was seen today in the breast clinic and cannot praise the team enough- from start to finish they were kind, sympathetic, friendly , professional and efficient. I cannot thank you enough for the excellent care and reassurance I received. You deserve far far more than every penny you are paid.

Review titled The care was excellent
by Nannycaz4 - Posted on 15 August 2023
I was transferred from Newark UTC to King's Mill as I needed an urgent CT scan. From the Triage/Streaming to discharge the care was excellent. After several bad experiences at my nearest A&E I vowed not to return unless I had no control on the matter. The inconvenience of a short drive was 100% worth it.

Review titled Absolutely fantastic
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was sent here by my GP today. I cannot thank all the staff who I have met and who have been involved in my care today. The specialist nurse who came to see me was just amazing, explained things in such simple terms with no jargon, drew me a picture of what was happening to help me and made me feel so at ease about the entire situation. The HCAs were also phenomenal. Even walking me out of A&E on discharge and waiting whilst my mum fetched the car. Cannot fault the cleanliness or the staff today and certainly can't thank them enough for making me feel well looked after and reassuring me I needed to be there and I wasn't wasting their time.

Review titled Amazing Nurses - great bedside manner
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I’ve just been in after nearly cutting my finger off in a bike wheel. I was seen to immediately and from the very first moment they did their best to take my mind off it by making me laugh, absolutely brilliant. Then to X-ray and to glue it up and again all of the ladies were just brilliant and made me feel so much better. I wish could name them for this review but read I can’t. NHS gets a lot of bad press but there are some genuinely great people working there and if you read this thank you so much.
