Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Kayleigh - Posted on 21 October 2024
Came to the Children’s Emergency Department at the weekend with my 12 year old Daughter. We were overwhelmed with the patience , kindness and professionalism we were shown . From the initial triage right through to diagnosis and discharge I can honestly say I am so impressed with the care we received . The waiting area and triage rooms were very clean and tidy. A huge Thank you to every member of staff.

On 22nd I came to A&E with cellulitis in my right leg. There was a young lady A&E doctor on duty. You must know who she is. I want in particular to commend her for her swift and very kind response. if possible it would be nice if someone could tell her about this review. I am exceedingly gratefulto her.

Review titled Great care and treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lesley Halford - Posted on 02 September 2024
I experienced excellent care and treatment from my first out patient appointment to the point of discharge from hospital and beyond. Everyone involved in my care was very professional and efficient ,caring, compassionate and did an excellent job. The communication was superb and they did everything they said they would. I had great care from the surgical team, the ward staff, the pre-op team and the stoma team - I really could not fault any of them. The environment was spotlessly clean and the Enhanced Recovery Programme really helped me understand what to expect post surgery. I was obviously quite anxious but they were reassuring and kind and I can’t thank them enough for having hot me through this with the best possible outcome. Thank you

Review titled A&E Shamblea
by Danielle Power - Posted on 15 August 2024
These last few days have been super scary for me. The 1st 24 hours waiting in a&e I've never experienced anything like it, the level of care wasn't good enough. One Health Care Nurse kept telling me she was counting down the hours to home time 'only 7 hours to go' lucky you I said, Another was huffing and puffing at me as I asked for toilet roll so I could use the commode, asking me very abruptly are you doing a NO1 or NO2 😬 who does that??? 4 hours to wait for pain relief, 1 hour to wait for a drink and God knows how long to wait for a poxy biscuit because I'd not eaten for 30 odd hours. Oh and not to forget when a doctor came to visit me in the dark to tell me they suspect I've had a mini stroke and I need an mri scan, after I broke down crying they left me straight away shutting the door behind them. No compassion at all. Eventually a bed for me on the fabulous Clifford Ward that felt like an actual hotel, everyone was lovely and very helpful. Some A&E staff are not in the right job.
