My elderly father was taken by ambulance into Ipswich hospital on 13th September. The paramedics were superb and the staff kept me posted on his progress. He was admitted to Saxmundham Ward and the doctor who phoned me from there went above and beyond the call of duty, giving me lots of his precious time and being super helpful. It was extremely reassuring. On the ward itself, the staff were all kind, helpful and professional. My dad has been admitted several times over the last 2 years and each time I have been blown away by the amazing staff.

Thank you for your kind comments with regard to the care your father received from staff on Saxmundham ward at Ipswich Hospital recently. We believe it is a great credit to our staff that they provide such a high standard of professional care tailored to the requirements of individuals. We are, of course, proud of this hospital and believe that we are building an excellent healthcare team which has a strong focus on patients’ medical needs, as well as a desire to provide the best possible all round experience. It is particularly satisfying when patients and families appreciate this standard of care and it does a great deal to encourage and hearten the staff.
