  1. Review titled Kind Nurses and Drs

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited the Endoscopy unit on 28th August. All the staff we very kind and patient with me. I had a gastroscopy and a colonoscopy. I would recommend this unit for anyone who suffers from anxiety as they explained everything and understood that I was nervous and made me feel at ease. Thank you.

  2. Review titled Could be more efficient

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I received adequate care and the staff were kind and understanding, however I had to wait 5 hours in the waiting room just to be told they could do nothing for me. It would have taken seconds for a staff member to relay this information to open up more space in the waiting room rather than waiting for a doctor to have time to come out themselves

  3. Review titled Outstanding care.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited this hospital on 19th August with my 2 year old after a call to 111. Initially we were seen by the out of hours GP. We were seen straight away and the doctor was thorough and very personable. As a precaution he wanted my son to be seen by a paediatric doctor so after a quick phone call and printing off some information we were on our way up to Holly Ward, after some directions from the very friendly and helpful reception staff. Once we arrived on the ward we were sent straight to a day case bed where my sons obs were taken. After a short wait we were seen by a lovely nurse who explained what we should expect. We then had a wait of maybe an hour to see the most amazing doctor. He really was so lovely with both my son and me. He reassured me that my sons symptoms were nothing to worry about. However, during the consultation he heard a heart murmur. He told me this in both a direct but sensitive manor, even letting me listen to my sons chest. He said he was going to refer my son for further tests and that because he is a twin he would request that they also see his twin brother. I also observed this doctor with other patients and he was amazing with all of them. We have only recently moved to the area and my first experience with this hospital was absolutely outstanding.

  4. Review titled Fantastic maternity services

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Your Review: My daughter switched to Hinchingbrook for her care as chosen Hosp wasn’t offering Gas and Air pain relief. What a blessing she did. Spotlessly clean, modern, organised, calm, professional staff from floor sweepers to consultants. Literally everyone was happy, cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful. The midwives were exceptional. The facilities were first class. A difficult labour ended in a c-section but my daughter was given choice and reassured at every step. What an amazing experience. Thank you maternity team.

  5. Review titled Be prepared to wait an eternity

Rated 1 star out of 5

You will wait hours for appointments after the time you have been told to arrive. Be prepared to spend the whole day waiting not worth going unless you've lost a limb.

I would like to thank the member of staff in Orthotics who took such good care of me today. She couldn’t do enough to ensure that I was given the right product and took time and care to find it for me.

  8. Review titled Amazing experience in an unfortunate situation

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Last night, we ended up in a and e when my daughter needed to have a head injury checked. She ended up with some glue for stitches and monitored for two hours to ensure that she was okay. I am so impressed with the care we recieved. She was well looked after and staff were great at working with my 3 year old. They had a separate waiting room for children which was amazing, as she didn’t have to see some of the things that come into an a and e that are scary for children to see and they even had biscuits and water for them. They really understood the needs of the children in their care. My daughter left not afraid of hospitals, which I believe is all down to the systems and training they have in place.

  10. Review titled Grateful and appreciative for what you do for everybody !

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by E Beadle - Posted on 10 May 2023

I was checked up promptly by the triage nurse, who recognised I had quite severe symptoms and put me straight through to the A and E ward. Every one of the staff I dealt with were clearly busy but did everything they could for me. The treatment began working after a few hours or so after five days of difficulty swallowing, swollen throat, loss of appetite and dehydration. After a couple more hours I was able to go home and could drink again with far less pain and discomfort. I hope not to be coming back too soon though ! A great job you all do. Many thanks.
