Sitting here with my 5 month old sick baby, 7 hours later have still not been seen we are still sitting here. I can’t even describe how appalling this experience has been. It’s not ok to keep babies waiting this long, the lady in front of us had been referred to Watford general after waiting 7 hours! I’m appalled on her behalf also! With only 1 Dr!!!! I imagine those with the deep pockets in this trust are not using it to keep this centre staffed adequately. Management should have had the sense to call and use a locum dr service to clear this 7 hour wait. It is dangerous

Reception staff saw me immediately and took my details without fuss. Triage nurse / doctor was kind and professional making me feel welcome and kept me up to date on waiting times. The nurse / doctor who saw me was also very kind, professional and had a good attention to detail. She phoned over to the eye hospital to clarify treatment and after care and made me feel cared for and listened to.

I arrived at the Urgent Care centre in Hemel Hempstead at 10am on Sunday 23rd October, the reception staff were very welcoming and the triage nurse also. Special mention to the on duty nurse who dealt with my knee injury, who explored the injury, explained what was wrong, recommended treatment and exercises, with efficiency and kindness. I returned home in a much better frame of mind. Thank-you
