  1. Review titled Dissatisfaction with doctors

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 December 2022

My daughter has been suffering from severe abdominal pains. On Sunday 27/11 she called 111 who advised we go to a&e at Frimley. We were sent home after a brief review. On Tuesday 30/11 when still in pain she again called 111 who again advised we go back to a&e. I must add the nurses on both these visits were fantastic. On the second visit my daughter was admitted. She was on strong medication including morphine. My daughter had numerous tests and an ultrasound. The pain never stopped but as they couldn’t find anything wrong they discharged her even though she is in more pain than when she arrived. I find it completely unacceptable and just want to vent

Dear Anonymous, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your family’s recent experience at Frimley Health. Please accept my sincere apologies on behalf of the Trust for the situation your daughter experienced and, as a parent, I fully understand your desire to vent. I will share your feedback with the team in ED who might perhaps take some comfort from the fact that the nursing care was so positive. However, without more details, beyond that I am unable to do very much. If you are able to let the team know more specific details by emailing: fhft.patientexperience@nhs.net then we will be able to look into the situation and circumstances more fully. Thank you again and kind regards, Alex Jackson, Patient Experience Manager, Frimley Health Foundation Trust

  2. Review titled Why was I worried?

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Harry Hodge - Posted on 15 November 2022

Attended the eye ward at Frimley to have cataracts removed. Arrived on time and was promptly seen to by the reception staff. They explained all parts of the process from start to finish and my worries melted away. The surgery team were just as friendly, helpful and giving full explanation of procedure so nothing came as a surprise, the surgery took 25 minutes, I arrived at the ward at 16.30 and was out by 18.30, now two weeks after op and my sight has improved dramatically, so pleased with end result but also with the sheer professionalism of all staff, can't thank you enough.

  3. Review titled A follow up appointment needing treatment/surgery for hip pain

by Elderly in pain - Posted on 15 November 2022

I was seen by one of the consultant team who appeared to me to be having a bad day. I am elderly with health issues and in a lot of pain. Their first words to me were are you prepared to die? I had to ask them to repeat their question, which they did. I am aware that I am at risk because of health issues but their harshness, I would consider sadistic, made me feel like going home and committing suicide. They would not engage with any questions and got rid of me as quickly as they could by sending me for further hip x-ray. Following x-ray I waited, then I asked one of the assistants what would happen next, they spoke to the doctor, and came back to me and said There is no change, they don't need to see you. I was later collected by patient transport, who were very kind and helpful, and taken home. I have no idea what will happen next. I don't know what alternatives there are to hip replacement surgery. Having worked all my life and paying National Insurance why do I feel I was treated with such disdain?

  4. Review titled Faultless

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Phil - Posted on 14 December 2022

I was taken to Frimley Park after suffering a heart attack. Three stents were in place within an incredibly short time of my arrival and I was in the CCU for a few days afterwards. My care could not have been any better. All the staff were friendly and so caring. Everyone took time to explain my treatment and were completely faultless in every respect. I cannot thank them enough.

  5. Review titled Confidential information

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 November 2022

The care from the Doctors, midwives and care assistants was great. One area the labour ward needs to work on is patient confidentiality. Often discussing patients diagnosis and care plans in the reception area where everyone in the waiting room can hear, including the patient being discussed. Making myself feel very awkward, understandably they were busy however this should not impact the sharing of confidential information.

  6. Review titled Bbrilliant, attentive & thorough care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sam - Posted on 07 December 2022

I was admitted to the gastro ward of f9 & stayed within their care for seven days. my experience from the outset was second to none. every member of the team was amazing to each and every patient & everyone was well looked after. my treatment was clear from the doctors and we’ll executed enabling me to make a full recovery. even with full wards the nursing team were attentive and calming making a scary situation a more calm one. I cannot thank the team enough for the seven days I spent with them and would have no hesitation to see them again.

  7. Review titled Awful waiting times

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 November 2022

So stressful at every appt always waiting at least 1 hour past appt time. Resulting in me missing other scheduled appointments. This service really needs to improve. I have previous had a 9am appt which was also 1.5 hours late so it doesn’t matter what time of the day your appt is!

  8. Review titled Excellent care and skilled treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by JS Shoreham - Posted on 24 January 2023

I was admitted for a partial nephrectomy. The treatment by the staff though they were very busy from the ancillary to the Top consultant were excellent . I can't Thank Them enough; they were all friendly, skilled and very professional at all times. I make a small monthly donation to Medicine sans Frontiers and increased it a little to express my thanks and a token of gratitude for the excellent care I received and to help people that don't have access to the care that we are fortunate to have.

A relative of mine had to go to A&E due to the fact that his catheter was blocked. Arrived round about 9pm ish and wasnt seen till 5am ish the following morning. My Relative was in so much pain and left him to suffer. My Relative also had to be hoisted as they were wheelchair bound and they did not have a hoist as they couldn't find one.

  10. Review titled The Hospital & all members of staff saved my life.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by John Aris - Posted on 23 November 2022

I was in Frimley Park Hospital for a procedure but when seen by the Surgeon he spotted that I was not well. He had me moved to A & E where I was seen without delay. I was moved to another room & talked to by a Doctor. He then gave me an electric shock which saved my life. After that a stent was cleared & I was placed on the Cardiac ward. The service, kindness I received was better than I had ever received before. I would like to commend all of the satff for their kind, knowlegable service which allowed me to survive & live the remainder of my life. I have never experienced such marvelous treatment from such friendly efficent doctors, nurses &m indeed all staff. Finaly my thanks go out specifically to a nurse Praju, for her efforts with regards to the issue of my take home medicines. In conclusion may I commend this hospital & their staff for letting me return to hopefully a normal old age. Long live the NHS & especially Frimley Park Hospital & all its staff.
