  1. Review titled Prostate biopsy

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Superb service from the urology department. The time between rectal examination at my doctors in Hastings, ultrasound scan at Hastings Conquest hospital, MRI scan at Eastbourne hospital through biopsy at Eastbourne, and being given my results, took just over a month

  4. Review titled Always kind, friendly staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Wendy Potton - Posted on 08 November 2023

I had a CT scan on Thursday and was looked after by the Cardiology and Radiology staff. I've always been touched by how kind the DGH staff are and my experience on Thursday morning was as good as ever. Was especially impressed by the Cardiology Sister who treated me just like a friend. I'm sure not many people say anything (and I couldn't seem to leave a Google review) but us patients really do appreciate your kindness.

  5. Review titled Excellent Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Christopher Woolley - Posted on 30 November 2023

Referral made my local optician. I was seen at the appointment time, there was no waiting. Every member of staff was charming, hugely helpful and gave a thorough explanation of what the particular procedure was. The doctor was very thorough and went out of her way to ensure my understanding. Well done every one and thankyou.

  6. Review titled So impressed.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Derek - Posted on 26 October 2023

I have to leave a review as I have had continually good treatment from the Urology Dept at the DGH. From receptionist to the nurses that deal with my Flexi-Cystoscopy's. A Dr was present at my last one (he had also dealt with me one time before this) so patient, so calm and reassuring, so professional. I feel so unlucky to have a cancer and yet so lucky to live in Eastbourne where i receive this fantastic treatment. Thanks so much.

  8. Review titled Fantastic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dean Cartwright - Posted on 01 November 2023

I was in A&E last night from 630pm To approximately 1030pm due to an eye injury at work. I just wanted to leave a little review to say thank you to the 2 separate nurses that saw me, the one who saw me first to take my pH levels and book in the eye doctor, and the second lady who gave me an eye flush out. (I'm so sorry I don't know your names!) Also a big thank you to the eye doctor who rectified the problem very quickly. After over hearing the conversation between the first nurse and the eye doctor on the phone regarding waiting times and how busy they were that night.. I just wanted to show my appreciation to everybody involved last night as they were incredibly busy and I think they done exceptionally well. I know eastbourne a&e get a lot of unfair criticism for their waiting times ect but being in there myself it was clear to see how hard everybody works. Thank you so much guys

  9. Review titled Unacceptable delays for my PEGJ tube

    by ChronicallyTrying95 - Posted on 09 October 2023

I am a chronically ill patient with a number of serious and life threatening conditions. I was admitted as an emergency over a week ago because I had been without any nutrition for a week after failure to replace my NJ tube. I was promised I would be getting an emergency PEGJ tube after the weekend but over one week later nobody has bothered to get things in motion to place one, nor have I got my NJ tube so I have been without any feed now for almost three weeks which is totally unacceptable given my underlying health issues. On top of this, I felt belittled and humiliated by a team of doctors who seemed to imply that more problems were more Mental Health related which is ridiculous given I have almost died multiple times over the last few years. I just want the gastro team to seriously reflect on how chronically ill patients like myself rely on timely care and we need these medical devices to live. I have wasted another weekend in hospital with no idea when I am going to go to theatre and have my surgical tube places. I appreciate I am a super complex patient but it really is a straightforward procedure and I should be a priority case as I was told I was in A&E.

  10. Review titled Horrendous experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 October 2023

Have had Botox treatments on my bladder on several occasions all not very nice. I had my treatment recently and it was horrendous I was left in agony and losing lots of blood. Usually I lose blood for a day or so but this time three days later I am still losing. I have been in touch with the department just to be told I have to monitor it. I cannot face going through this again in six months time.
