  1. Review titled l was told nothing and l felt like I was just ignored

    l was out walking with the dog and woke up to find that l had fallen flat face down, l was groggy and unable to get up for a while. There were people about on the beach but l was on the grassy promenade behind and not seen. Eventually l was able to ring someone who came and tried to get an ambulance. Told at least 6 hours wait or more in this part of Lincolnshire. Got to Grimsby Hospital an hour later or so by car and went immediately for a cat scan as l'd been sick in reception. But no one cleaned me up from the gravel and sand, l had an open slash across forehead that was ignored, no information and in the end after hours laying on the (to me) cold hard and uncomfortable bed, l wanted to go home as nothing was happening. l was told nothing and l felt like I was just ignored, only when l tried to leave l was told that l should stay through the night, but l was getting so upset and uncomfortable that l went home. So it was great in some parts, but I felt there was a lot of standing about by staff, and days later l was still getting bits of sand/gravel out my face and l have a horrid scar on my forehead now.

    Took the wife for some tests and was greeted with a smile and we left with a smile, every member of the team if they could help all medical staff was first class , well done you x

    Following a recent admission to grimsby hospital I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who dealt with me from the porters, catering staff to the doctors and surgeons but my biggest thanks and gratitude is for the #nurses of ward b3 these guys are the heroes of the nhs they deal with all the fallout, anxieties in such a professional manner they build you up when you're at your lowest they need more appreciation for the hard work they do. For all your own beliefs and faiths god bless you James Green

  4. Review titled Still waiting for MRI results after 10 weeks

    I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in May and sent for an MRI at the start of June. I was told I should hear back about the results in a week or two. Ten weeks later I'm now about to start my fourth round of chemo and I have still not heard anything about my MRI. I think it's awful that I've been made to wait this long with no idea how bad my cancer is.

    We needed to visit the A and E department at Grimsby at the weekend and had quite a long stay. We were treated with nothing but kindness and consideration at all time We were given food and drinks on several occasions and all staff were excellent. Thankyou so much for making our visit a pleasant experience.

  6. Review titled Dr's and nurses were good but domestic staff were abismal

    The medical staff were good under the short staff due to strike actions., the domestic cleaning staff were terrible slagging off the people that weren't in their "bubble" within ear shot of patients they were constantly on their phones and doing nothing cleaning wise waste of tax payers money.!!!

    I can’t thank the staff enough on the amazing experience of the birth of my little boy. Every member of staff that was part of it was brilliant. It was such a lovely experience after having my last baby during lockdown. I can’t thank the staff enough. They were so supportive, knowledgeable and really made me feel comfortable. The whole experience was fantastic and the care provided was outstanding. The care throughout my pregnancy and to being discharged has all been amazing. I feel very lucky to have given birth at Grimsby hospital, I was part of the poppy/honeysuckle team so Thankyou to them all.

    Wow what can I say, endoscopy unit at Grimsby was superb. I've had an endoscopy before at Scunthorpe but this was such a superb experience (not saying Scunthorpe wasn't but this just tipped it). Yes I had it cancelled a few times but the department made up for that in spades. Greated by a very nice nurse who immediately put me at ease seeingss though I was a bit apprehensive on having the procedure. Went professional through everything, explaining what will happen, the pros and cons of having the procedure and what problems may or may not occur. Had all my stats taken and was taken to a lovely waiting area. Taken into the procedure and greated by the doctor and nurse who fully explained what they were doing and explained on screen where they were and why they were doing. Constantly asked how I was and reassured if I felt a bit worried. I thanked the doctor and nurse for the everything in the procedure as I thought it was done with professionalism and then I was moved into the recovery area. Nurses were great throughout the day, professional and courteous and couldn't do enough for you even with it being on a Sunday. One nurse (sorry I don't remember the name) was so happy within her work she made me smile. So many dark clouds and so many bad reviews about hospitals that I needed to express how superb the whole time was when in the department. Well done to the endoscopy department in Grimsby, thank you for the whole experience seeing as though it's not the greatest thing to go through. 5 stars.

    I came to this hospital for my 8 week pregnancy appointment. I was not told where I had to go. I assumed that I would see a sign for ‘Maternity’ somewhere but all I could see was ‘pregnancy advisory services’ which was evidently not the right place when we searched for it. We asked a lady at the ENT desk as there was no one by the main reception. She advised us to go to family services. After about 20 minutes of searching, we asked a paramedic on-site who finally was able to help us and we eventually found it. We were late for my appointment but they had an emergency and were running late themselves so they didn’t seem to mind. I then was asked to take a blood test but the lady who tried was not able to get anything out the first time so she tried again in the other arm and only got a couple of drops out. She asked me if I had drunk anything that morning and tried to claim that I was dehydrated, which I was not. I was sent to another hospital to get it redone a couple days later, the phlebotomist saw the massive bruise on my arm and told me that the lady who tried to take my blood missed my vein. On top of that, she did not put pressure on the wound after taking my blood and just covered them both with a plaster, which is why I end up with a massive bruise a couple days later.
