  1. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Karen Roberts - Posted on 30 December 2022

The consultant and his staff were superb in diagnosing my issue and referring me for further treatment. They were caring and informative at all stages and I felt that I was always being kept in the loop regarding the issue and future treatment. During phone calls relating to the diagnosis the consultant and his colleagues were always very sympathetic.

  2. Review titled Usual excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Following an MRI scan I had a prostate biopsy 7/9 and a meeting with the consultant on 16/9. On both occasions the staff were extremely professional, reassuring ,courteous & friendly. It was the usual excellent service I've come to expect at the Countess over the years whereby I've attended the Cardiology, Ophthalmology , Urology & Colorectal Services departments on multiple occasions. I very grateful to all the staff.

  3. Review titled Great experience!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was transferred to this hospital from North staffs as there was a shortage of beds. Straight away I was made to feel welcome and accommodated. Once in established labour I was moved to the labour ward and what fantastic midwife’s they actually have! I genuinly couldn’t have felt more safe, at ease and calm during my contractions. Then once given birth moved up to the postnatal ward where my partner was aloud to stay the night, they got him a chair bed that was amazing and comfortable. I would reccomend this hospital to anyone! Fantastic staff all round!

Lovely team, very professional and helpful. There are not enough words to thank the Maternity leave, Ward 32 and Neonatal unit from the Countess of Chester Hospital, for the great care they have provided.

  6. Review titled Acceptable service

Rated 4 stars out of 5

On Monday 12th September was admitted to a&e via ambulance , they were no bed or rooms available so was sat in chair where I continued to have vomiting and diaherriea episodes , was placed in another room on a chair for four hours while continuing to be sick and have had hours of loose stool . Am not complaining about that as I know everyone were very busy but a member of staff came looking for me at one point only for her to tell me that I smelled bad ,bear in mind had a high temperature with diaherriea and vomiting at the time . This made me feel very uncomfortable and I was crying after she left , so was moved to another consulting room on a trolley for which I was grateful and was their till following evening when I was moved to a ward and a proper bed . And had the chance for a shower and clean nightwea r . My main complaint is the attitude of that staff member to be ill and he told I smelled and needed a shower was very upsetting to me as was feeling very sick and in a lot of pain at the time to which she seemed not to care as in her own words was too busy to help me clean myself up . I understand that they were very busy but don't feel that her attitude was very good or helpful . The rest of the staff were as helpful as they could be under the circumstances as was left waiting for many hours waiting for water and food as was forgotten in my little room and especially for pain or agribusiness medication as well . But was so glad to get to a ward and have help to clean up . The staff on AMU were great and so helpful and could not do enough for me thank God . As unfortunately I am a regular to the hospital due to my outgoing conditions I just say this is the first time a member of staff has treated me this way and understand the wait as it was so busy their , but feel very let down this time and feel you need to address this attitude with your staff Thank you
