    Brought my 6 year old son in after a traumatic fall where he broke both arms falling from a climbing frame. I just wanted to thank every single health care professional involved in my sons care, the HCAs, paediatric nurses, nurses, resus, consultants, orthopaedic consultants, anaesthetists, pastoral care and anyone who I may have forgotten I do apologise but thank you all so much. I am from out of area but was made to feel at ease and I was fully aware at all times, as was my son, to what was happening. Considering the amount of pain he was in the health care professionals managed to keep my son smiling and at ease the time he was in hospital. A terrifying experience for my son and as a mum to witness, I cannot Thankyou all enough you were all truly amazing! Thankyou

    I had the misfortune of suddenly losing my mobility and was referred for an MRI scan by one of the wonderful MacMillan nurses that are integrated into your provision. The whole process was quick and efficient, whilst also caring and supportive. The MRI scan was performed immediately at the designated hour. I was provided refreshments whilst the scan was interpreted and a treatment plan devised. I was kept up to date with the day as it evolved and informed when it was appropriate for my sister to come to the hospital to collect me. I really can't fault the service provided and send my sincere thanks to all members of staff from the people that provided basic care and refreshments, through to the senior practioners and consultants that interpreted the scan results and devised a plan of treatment.

    All Dr's and nurses were superb, excellent. Can't say a bad word towards all the nurses, Dr's and staff. The only thing I would say there were 2 receptionist who were very unhelpful, only 1 who was very bubbly and smiley. The other 2 not so much. The nurse I had at the beginning of my visit he was absolutely 100000% fantastic!!! Not just with me but other patients I was amazed. He is an amazing human But overall fantastic :)

It is reassuring to hear that you were treated with care and compassion as this underpins our core values. It is disappointing however that you found two receptionists unhelpful and we are sorry if this tainted your positive experience. We will share your positive feedback with staff but also inform the Emergency Department Reception Manager of your comments regarding your experience with the receptionists.

    Went into emergency department last night. Doctors and nurses were absolutely amazing, so helpful, caring friendly and couldn't do enough for us.

    I can only say that every member of staff from tea/water lady to Doctor were amazing !! The lovely attitude and care was just what got my mother well ! I thank everyone for their lovely attitude and care for my mother , it definitely played a part in her progress and healing ..Thank you all so much

    I came into a&e for a named condition I have that was playing up today , was seen within 15 minutes and including all blood work and ecg done , got a bed straight away too . Had a student do one of my ECGs and I can’t fault him he was very good and professional too , I then saw someone who was advanced in medicine and I cannot fault them , they were kind understanding and patient and gave me the right medication to fix my problem , then as I was discharged they reminded me that if I ever feel like that again to come in and they would be there to support me , if I could mention names in this I would as they are a credit to the NHS , couldn’t have asked to see a better doctor then , then !

    I have been so stressed about my hysteroscopy today, I had cancelled the app and then called back to see if it was still available, not sure what to do for the best. Everyone I've spoken to from the consultant, his secretary to the appointments team and the drs and nurses on gynae have all been so caring, supportive and understanding. When I turned up today I was put at ease by the 3 loveliest nurses, who reassured me I was able to stop any time and they explained everything very clearly. I didn't actually go through with it today but it meant so much to me that I was empowered to make this choice, with no guilt or judgement, and I know I will feel more confident if I ever need to come back at a later date. The whole gynae team are absolutely amazing, but an extra special thanks goes to the hysteroscopy nurses for helping me through today xxx

    Overall, my experience was very helpful for what I needed and I did end up getting very good treatment and care necessary by the patient and hard working medical staff. However I was left feeling a bit upset with the way I was talked to regarding staff at reception. After 5 hours waiting to see a doctor and sat uncomfortably, I was left feeling like a burden after a member of staff was very ill mannered and made me cry for requesting an update, speaking to me in a very patronising way. The tone of which could have easily been shifted and my questions answered without feeling the way I did by the end of it.
