  1. Review titled Cannot thank them enough

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I got fast tracked to gynae women’s services M2 the appointment came quicker than expected and came when we were on our way to Cornwall. Gone too far to turn back and as the appointment was almost when we got there I rang to see if we could have a weeks holiday. The lady on the phone was so lovely no problem she said and made it later so instead of having 15 days we had 10, and came back the day before the appointment. The care and concern on M2 was the same 100%. From the excellent lady consultant whom did the procedure So kind and caring to nurses whom talked me through it explained everything and gave excellent nursing care as being a retired nurse myself that is how nursing care should be. A not nice but an excellent experience due to all these people and for this I thank you greatly. I need further surgery but my fear and concerns have gone.

  2. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My 94 year old father in law was taken to BRI by ambulance after suffering severe nosebleeds for several hours. I went with him in the ambulance and from the moment we arrived he was treated promptly and with compassion. Every staff member we encountered was caring even up to the lady on A and E reception who insisted on sorting me a taxi home at 1 am. He was transferred to Ward 18 for observation and the staff there kept me up to date by phone and rang when he was on his way home so I could be there when the ambulance arrived. I’ve had several visits to Airedale hospital A and E with him over the last few years and I must say the care at Bradford was much better in every way. Thank you everyone.

  4. Review titled Poor standards

Rated 1 star out of 5

Dirty and disgusting, from just walking in your suffocated by people smoking outside the a n e department. Waiting area over crowded with people waiting to be seen . How do they expect people who are extremely poorly to stand in the adult waiting area when there is no more chairs. Need to bring back the entrance triage like they did in Covid so patients who need to be seen urgently get the right care needed .

  7. Review titled 12-27 hour wait time in A & E

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Naeem Ahmed - Posted on 06 June 2024

Absolutely disgusting service. I will summarise what was an ordeal. My family took my 86 year old mother into A&E on two occasions, in both cases suffering from very high blood pressure in excess of 230/100 mmHg. On her second visit, the GP surgery she was visiting at the time called the ambulance who took her to Bradford Royal Infirmary. She made to wait there, sitting in a wheelchair for over 12 hours on the first occasion, and over 15 hours on the second visit. Triage took for eternity. The A & E department at Bradford Royal Infirmary was like something you see in the third world. The doctors are lazy and incompetent and do not turn up on time. There were people waiting for over 24 hours on the day. A reminder that my mother is 86 with underlying health conditions as expected for that age. Having people of that age sitting on a chair with no food, water or contacts in an A & E for over more than 12 hours should be a criminal offence. If one leaves the A & E then they lose their position and will have to re-register at the desk. I ask what happened 4 hour maximum waiting time? . My mother like many others there were in agony, pain and the doctors were casually strolling like there were walking into a party - Either sort the doctors out or close this department down and fine all those involved. Even a hospital in a warzone has better waiting times. Are you purposely forcing people to abandon the NHS and go private ?? . Please sort this hospital out or close it as it does not belong here in 2024.

  9. Review titled Inefficient

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Patient - Posted on 14 June 2024

Wait times 9 hours in A&E and still waiting to find out the cause of chest pain and associated edema and numbness. Where’re the NI contributions being used. This hospital is a nightmare and it’s evident that there’s no supervision, management or controls in place.

Despite it being a very busy shift for all the staff in A&E I was dealt with efficiently and with great care. I cannot fault any of the staff working the day of my visit
