Hubby admitted 6pm. 36hrs later he is still waiting in a chair with extreme pain. I can't get through to anyone in the department, as nobody answers a phone. All i want is an update, so I can put my kids minds at rest that their dad's OK.

I'm surprised more deaths due to poor quality service, understaffed and bad practice isn't happening. Spend 6 hours in a&e to be told I need bloods taking still and because no physical notes were made up to put in the handover box it was forgotten. Then told its another 6 to 8 hrs to see a doctor. Told staff were short as people not turned in. Staff only see patients for individual tasks instead of doing everything in one go like in the past. Doctor seemed lost or new as she kept asking nurses what todo. A@e could be streamlined to run better and seen patients in one hit saving multiple sittings with nurses and doctors. It's like since covid the hospitals are running on work to rule with no real urgency. If they where fined for every 30 min extra It took to wait tge hospitals would soon get you in and out

I'd like to leave some praise to ward 18 were i stayed over the weekend. Despite the pressure and demands on the service the nurses were full of spirit, pleasant and so caring nothing was too much for them .was lovely to see the care and passion.

Without a doubt, my appointment this morning has to be one of the best medical experiences I've had. All the staff were very friendly and professional and I was put at ease immediately. I thoroughly recommend this department. Thanks!

I have been trying for more than a month to book my appointment to bring in my post vasectomy sample. I have tried rhe number on the leaflet but everytime the number just ring off! I have also tried several other numbers and the have said this was the correct number. I have tried call at the times stated, 10:00 - 12:30 and also 13:00 - 15:00. Not happy with this service one bit!

I found the Cardiology Team at all levels were professional, pleasant, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The wards and waiting areas etc, were spotlessly clean and I was kept supplied with food and drinks. It felt as though I was staying in a private hospital, not an NHS one. A million thanks Cardiology Team and to the Cardiologist Consultant who treated me, for all your expertise, dedication and kindness. I couldn't have been in better hands. Sheila Tootell

Thank you for patching me up - stupidly cut my hand open. Seen a lot quicker than I ever expected and very thankful the NHS exists. Kind an efficient from start to finish.

My Father was admitted to A&E after seeing his doctor. So far he has been waiting in A&E for 26hrs at the time of writing this. He was admitted due to excess fluid around his heart, he has still not been seen by a Doctor! I and others have tried to call A&E today, mostly the calls where unanswered and when they where we were on hold for 30 mins. I am currently on hold after waiting for 48 mins. I Appreciate its now a Friday evening but this is not acceptable.

My care medically and personally was excellent. This was a very difficult time with the Junior Doctors' strike and high patient numbers. I was mostly cared for in a corridor which was not easy for the staff but they coped magnificently. They all have my sincere thanks.

Great experience when attending appointments 'BuT' when trying to contact the appointmemnts line by phone [956739] to rearrange an appt there is no queue waiting, no answer machine and absolutely no answer. At least when you use central appts you get to wait in a queue. If you're going to do your own appts at least have the decency to answer the phone.
