  1. Review titled Amazing care, compassionate staff and overall outstanding

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 December 2023

I was admitted on Christmas Eve for severe sickness and nausea, malnourishment and dehydration. The staff here were so understanding and compassionate even with it being over Christmas they still strived and did their best, I cannot fault them at all and this has probably been one of the my most understanding and safe hospital experiences.

My husband had a heart attack on 21st. Cardiology Department was excellent. Can not fault it. Within arriving at the hospital he had a stent put in in about half hour, he did not wait at all. Thank you so so much.

  3. Review titled Unfriendly staff when you need support

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Marian - Posted on 17 November 2023

I had an appointment for blood test today 17/11/23 early appointment. The staff at the desk was extremely rude. It's shocking to see people like her working in a public service where is about saving lives. I am disgusted on how she talks and deal with people. I need to wait for weeks to re book my appointment with a different clinic as she made the worst experience ever. I am so sorry that I don't have her name to share it but if someone is interested improve (probably not) public health experience is easy to do that.

  5. Review titled Long delay

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 October 2023

Poor management, unnecessary long delay Queue for a ticket then queue to register then queue to see a nurse then over 5 hours to see the minor departure clinician then queue for x Ray then Waite hours for results. It was a simple fall and obvious brusis and need x Ray to decide if a fracture or not . This could saved so much time if the triage nurse organized the X-ray . Clinicians works so so so slowly, they look fed up . They need better management and insensitive to work properly.

  7. Review titled No communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

Arrived at 12:00 with suspected Melena, was triaged quick, was seen by a doctor after an hour, great, this is where it goes downhill. I was then sent to the main waiting room with being told “you might need a camera to check”. I finally checked at reception at 20:00 after waiting 6 hours. Couldn’t give me any information just that I needed to continue waiting. After another 2 hours at 2200 I asked again and was told I was waiting for a bed, but no reason why, no reason for tests, just that I’m waiting for a bed. After 30 more minutes for a total of over 10 hours of waiting with no food or drink, I self discharged, with a potential internal bleed. Honestly a shocking experience with no communication, no quiet waiting area with comfortable chairs.

  8. Review titled Incredible team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 September 2023

I brought my 2 year old daughter to a&e yesterday as I was concerned she wasn't deteriorating at home. From the minute she was triagged the nurse triggered her for sepsis and informed the doctors as she was worried. We saw a few doctors who were patient and took a detailed history and I didn't feel rushed and they listened to me with care. The nursing team and doctors worked so well together and made sure my daughter was treated appropriately. I was offered drinks and given regular updates and asked if I was OK which meant so much when I was on my own and worried. Once transferred to the ward the amazing care continued day and night once again by the whole team. I could not fault a thing and have even seen some improvement today with my daughter. Thank you all so much for everything you have done for us.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My two year old had split his chin open so we took him to Basildon. From the reception staff to the care providers, the service was excellent. Very friendly and made us all feel at ease. They treated my son wonderfully and were very kind throughout.

  10. Review titled Helpful staffs

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Rochana - Posted on 12 September 2023

I was admitted for a week during my delivery. All the midwives and HCA were very kind and helpful. The night shift midwives helped me a lot when I was in pain and unable to do anything. Thank you word is not enough for the service they provide. Also I am grateful to the labour department team for helping all day and night.
