  1. Review titled Outstanding Paramedics!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs S Smith - Posted on 16 August 2023

We called an ambulance for my Mum who had fallen badly and was in excruciating pain and unable to be moved. The paramedics arrived swiftly and were professional, friendly, reassuring and treated her with compassion from arrival at the house until they left her after admitting her to A and E. They were absolutely amazing and we would love to be able to get a thank you to them personally from all the family.

  2. Review titled Dissapointed

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 June 2023

Very disappointed for the operator not sending an ambulance for my little girl. With high fever temperature 39.7.., as a single mum, who doesn't drive. with no family or friends to support around.. the operator asked me to get a taxi?, really why r they there for then??...this is an emergency, cos anything could happen..God forbid!..but I'm very disappointed about the awful service for keeping us waiting for hours. And getting anxious and stressful situation..is it because my accent I won't get help like the rest??.. and please stop with excuses cos is too busy.. my child also deserves emergency too.. but obviously nobody cares.. very sad and disappointed about this..

  3. Review titled Our grateful thanks goes to the Ambulance Service and staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Helen - Posted on 09 July 2023

The ambulance staff arrived at my 94 year old father's home when he was unconscious and in the recovery position on the floor of the bathroom. They took control of the situation and ensured that my father was cared for in a kind and respectful manner. The ambulance staff listened to the family members as they explained the situation and they answered queries honestly. They fully took into consideration our needs and wishes together with those of our father at all times. We were kept fully updated of our father's condition and great respect was shown when my father slipped away. We pass on our very grateful thanks to the ambulance service staff who were fantastic and so supportive on a very stressful and sad day.

  6. Review titled Caring and professional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 April 2023

I had to call an ambulance as my wife was in severe pain. It arrived inside half an hour and the two chaps were friendly, professional and provided both medical help and sympathetic conversation at a very worrying time. They then transported her to East Surrey hospital where she received emergency surgery and yet more exemplary care. A huge thank you to all involved.

  7. Review titled Unacceptable!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 April 2023

Left me waiting hours in considerable pain caused by a chronic condition which I suffer with. When they finally arrived after many hours, they did very little. I was dizzy, in pain and suffering with a series of panic attacks. They did very basic checks and showed no compassion when I tried to explain my circumstances, no reassurance and nothing to take my mind off my panic attacks/pain. Lack of empathy and long silences as they just tapped at their iPads and then instead of doing much else, one of them decided to watch my TV instead. Totally disinterested and bored and lacked any real empathy. I was made to feel like a complete waste of their time. Most paramedics are kind and do show real empathy and kindness but unfortunately this wasn’t the case on this occasion. My chronic condition was obviously a boring job for them and they’d clearly rather be out picking up people who drink to excess and/or take illicit substances and end up in a state because of it. I suffered for ages before I asked for help. I ended up worse off, back at square one, suffered more panic attacks, didn’t sleep and was sick through the night. Next time I’ll suffer in silence rather than be made to feel like a fool for simply asking for help. I explained my history fully and the fact I’m under the consultant at the hospital for my condition but I was ignored. It may not be a popular opinion to say anything negative about the ambulance service but unfortunately my experience has been extremely negative and something has to be said about it. I would be very reluctant to have them attend my home again as I’ve been left very anxious and upset by the whole situation.

  9. Review titled They literally saved my life

    by AnnD54 - Posted on 16 March 2023

I had arrived at a hotel where I was going to spend the night before flying. I arrived there totally breathless and unable to walk. There was immediate response from ambulance service, which took me straight to A&E at Redhill. Lots of tests were carried out immediately and even a Cat scan on my lungs, showing blood clots on the lungs. I stayed in 4 nights and was looked after by capable hands. I cannot fault any of the staff. They literally saved my life. A massive thank you to everyone who helped me. I know it's your job, but you made me feel reassured for the whole time I spent with you.
