The appointment system has changed recently for the surgery and it is so much better. No more having to be on the phone at 8am sharp and being caller number 50 Requests are now submitted online. I used the system earlier this week. I submitted my request at about 9am and had a phone call within 10 minutes offering me an appointment for the same morning. The doctor I saw was very friendly and helpful. The only reservation is I don't know what system they have in place for those who cannot book on line. However overall I'm very satisfied.

Had several queries which the receptionist was kind, helpful and resolved. I spoke to diabetes nurse, who was extremely supportive and knowledgeable. Thank you

The nurse I saw during my visit was lovely and I couldn't fault her. However I was concerned when she checked my details that she had been told I was there to receive a totally different vaccine than the one I had asked for. Thankfully on checking my notes I was able to receive the correct one.

When I was told I had A heart condition and they wonted to do open heart surgery on me after going to the QE hospital back in 2022 this practice was very good to me in 2022 & 2023 they sorted all my appointments I did not have to contact them has they would send me a text with a link, but in 2024 all that stopped I got in touch with them early this year has my medication had run out so got in touch with the practice and they sorted it out so I booked a medication review via the on line booking for the first of August only to get there and find out they had booked me a yearly medical with a nurse which they are very good but can not sort out medication I did not rebook the medication review has the practice receptionist had sorted out my prescription so I had my medication , I got a text on the 10/09/24 saying I need to book a medical condition review so booked it thinking it would be about my medication for the 11/09/24 only to find out when I got to the practice only for the nurse to say I do not know why they sent you a text has we saw you August But she was good and sent me a text to book a medication review, so what I would like to know why in 2024 you stopped sending me the texts with the link to book my appointments but in 2022 and 2023 you where sending me the texts.

Dear Dennis, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent experience with the practice. I am very sorry to hear of your discontent, however after reviewing some data; I can see you are up to date with all of your medicine monitoring and your long term condition reviews. We recognise it can be confusing for patients at times when language is used that may be misleading, however please be assured, every patient on routine or regular medicine has a review conducted by our practice pharmacist team at least once a year. If patients have visited the practice and we have up to date height, weight, blood pressure and blood work, often the medicines can be reviewed as a desktop exercise, with no disruption to our patients. Your recent appointment with one of our nursing team was for a yearly check; so I am sorry if the message was articulated to you in the way you have stated, however it is very clear from your consultation that she very much did know 'why you were there' and consequently conducted all the annual checks we needed to ensure your health is managed as effectively as possible. I am sorry you have felt confused following your interaction with the practice, this certainly is not how we want our patients to feel following an appointment - however please be assured, our processes are robust and all health monitoring is offered to all patients eligible. It is so lovely to hear your kind words; we have a wide variety of skilled professionals who work at our practice to deliver patient focused, specialist care to our population. Often patients believe the best person to assess their health needs is a GP, whilst this can be the case in certain scenarios, more often than not, we have a specialist onsite who is better to support with your health needs - such as a dietician, mental health worker, pharmacist or paramedic.
