I have been online looking for appointments nothing on there yet again who ever invented this so called service should rethink it out This should be diverted back to the other system where you could go on line and book what dr you want to see which would help us patients and maybe cut down all the upset what receptionists get and we shoulld not have to tell receptionists what is wrong with us as they are not medically trained in complex illnesses as that way they refuse to give us appointments but not having any appts at 9.30am is ridiculous .

Good afternoon Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you have not been able to book an appointment. We do release these appointments daily and they are available online from 8.30am. All of our receptionists are trained healthcare navigators. They do not make clinical decisions however they follow a template written by one of our GPs in order to prioritise certain conditions. I have only been with Winyates Surgery for around 8 months after transferring from my previous one whom I was not very happy with. Unfortunately I have needed to see a doctor twice within this period and on both occasions I have not had any issues in getting an appointment and found the reception staff and doctors extremely professional and helpful. I am so pleased I made the transition to this surgery and cannot understand why people find it necessary in giving bad reviews?

hi have tried booking on the app and on line and over the phone . there is nobody to talk too over the phone regarding the problem and even interested to take on board any information , in the main offices ever say they say do it on line

Today I went into chemists next to surgery. I felt unwell walked into surgery reception area. Then the wonder of Winyates came into force. A nurse had noticed how unstable I was looking and took me into a side room. She just knew something was wrong and started doing tests , got a doctor to check me over. While she was doing all this for me, she amazed me how she was still concerned over patient on her list. She was able to ask her colleagues to help with her list. Managed to get me an appointment to see a doctor in a few hours time. When I returned the nurse was still there doing a job see must love with a true passion. But walk passed, saw me and took time to ask how I was now feeling. When I went into see doctor he listened checked my records and was able to come up with a course of action to help me. As I was leaving he said I have made an appointment to ring you next week to see how the changes are helping me. This event is not a one off. For many years I have found Winyates Medical Centre to be a place where staff ,nurses,doctors, etc do everything they can to look after me. It annoys me ,to see some patients who are so rude and aggressive towards such overworked staff. I can only say again and again thank you Winyates. Xxx

This surgery has had issues for many years now and it's only getting worse. Wait in a queue of 30 plus too finally get through and get told ring back tomorrow. . But this is every time you ring. The staff are rude, unhelpful and judgemental, especially on reception. The majority of them too. Some of the gp's don't care for the patients only rushing you out the door or off the phone if you're actually lucky enough to speak too one. The prescription and medication reviews are awful and lacking. Overall this surgery is awful, referrals don't get put in, they don't listen too what's actually wrong, they lack respect and manors, Medication doesn't get sorted and waiting in a queue of over 30 to then be told no apps again first thing in the morning is, well, awful. Avoid!!

Took my 3yr old in for immunisations. Nurse was fantastic, explained everything clearly and made my son feel at ease. We always receive a good level of care at this practice. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Today I got an same day appointment no problem. I saw the doctor Who was just brilliant she spent time listening and was patient with me. All my family try to get appointments with her as she really does go above and beyond to find the cause and remedy to all our problems. Doctors are under so much pressure these days yet this doctor doesn't rush you. She is a credit to the surgery. I feel very lucky to have such a genuine caring doctor

Today I was getting out of my car in Winyates shopping centre when I had a really bad chest pain after a few minutes I went into the Doctors to see if they can see me as I was quite scared I was having a heart attack.. I spoke to the receptionist who was really concerned for me took details and within minutes I was seen by a doctor luckily it wasn't my heart but muscular pains to my great relief I have to say the service I received was excellent so thank you for looking after me ...Ive been a patient there for over 40 years and I've always found the doctors and staff very helpful keep up the good work...!!!!

I felt that my depression had returned and so I rung the practice at 08:30 and didn't have to wait long for my call to be answered. The receptionist was lovely and got me a 09:00 appointment. By 8:55 I was being seen by a Doctor who was lovely, patient, understanding and proactive. A prescription was necessary and by 09:15 I was in the next door pharmacy to collect it and back at home by 09:25, having taken the first dose of my medication. The surgery has a simple process, which clearly works and I felt valued and cared about.

After phone call to dr, he asked me to come to the surgery he then set up a fast track to see a urologist, had an appointment for five days later, after some test had appointment 12 days later for CT and MRI scans. I just want to say I couldn’t have asked for a better service, thank you.
