Review titled Physiotherapy Appointment
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Barry Green - Posted on 28 March 2023
I was happy with the appointment the Physio took a look at the problem I had and listen to me and decided to send me to the hospital for them to take a look. She informed me that I may have to wait for them to contact me and she sent me some exercises I could do in the meanwhile. All in all I was happy.

Review titled Great Dr’s terrible booking system
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by E Biggins - Posted on 30 March 2023
I have no issue with the staff at the practice and tbh they are all lovely people however there are never any appointments or your 38 in the que at 08:00 when they open, everyday for 2 weeks I have called and not been less than 20 in all that time. The new call system is worse than the one they had before at least you could get an appointment then.

Yesterday I had a follow up appointment with a Senior Nurse - was nice to have a face to face appointment and nice to be listened to and given chance to talk about what I had gone to see her for .

Nice staff and very clean doctors surgery and can get appointments easily and atmosphere is nice and easy access for people with disabilities and automatic doors are much easier then having to hold the door open.i will recommend my friends and family to your surgery.

Review titled excellent practice

I usually see either Dr Maher or Dr Oliver - both of them are considerate, caring and of course knowledgeable. Having said that this is a practice that does not hesitate to send you to on to specific consultants where necessary, but also works closely with specialists to carry out routine tests on their behalf. The nurses and receptionists are also really good here - pleasant and helpful.

Review titled Quick appt, ultrasound & advice.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Paula Doman - Posted on 28 March 2023
Got an on the day face-to-face appointment. Referred quickly for an ultrasound scan and had this the next day. Got the results of the u/s scan within 12 days & then advice from a specialist at the local hospital within 7 days. All in all it took approx 21 days from initial appointment with GP to get a diagnosis & treatment. Excellent!

Review titled Not good
Rated 1 star out of 5

Making an appointment at this surgery is a task in itself - it’s impossible to get through on the phone. (Last time I tried, I called 234 times starting at 8am and finally got through to be told there’s no appointments and to try again tomorrow). You are left with the only solution of making an appointment in advance which is about four weeks time. When you make an appointment you have to tell the reception staff your medical issue - which is extremely uncomfortable and unnecessary. And I have previously called to ask about blood test results and was told by the reception ‘We are not medically trained so can’t comment’. If this is the case, why are they asking what the medical issue is when making an appointment? I had an appointment at the start of this year where the doctor told me ‘We won’t give you that on a prescription because a prescription costs us money’ so I left without any help to my problem after waiting four weeks for the appointment. I recently had another appointment scheduled for 8.30am and was not seen until 9.30am. I enquired as to what was happening at the reception desk at around 9am and they informed me that they were unsure if the doctor was even in the building. When I was finally seen, one hour late, the doctor informed me that it was because she could not log on to the computer. For an entire hour??? Prior to all this, I also called to make an appointment as I wanted more contraceptive pills. When I called to make an appointment - the receptionist told me I could only make a phone appointment and not an in-person one. I replied that I would need an in-person one as the doctor will not give out contraceptive without taking blood pressure. However, they would not make an in-person appointment, and only a telephone appointment. When the telephone appointment finally happened three weeks later - I was told by the doctor that they couldn’t do it over the phone and I needed to come in for an in-person appointment. The very thing I had already said three weeks earlier. This whole ordeal took up my time and the doctors time unnecessarily. It could’ve been avoided. The system here does not seem to be working at all. It is not the same system as nearby surgeries that other family members are registered at so I am unsure why we seem to be following this failing system?
