Review titled No appointments and terrible phone system
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Gary - Posted on 14 March 2024
Needed a appointment to see a doctor as I've had reacareing issue that I saw a doctor in Feb that has returned. Stomach cramp not been able to go to the toilet for over a week. I'm on medication and of the side affects in stomach issues. Called surgery on 13th March on hold for 1hour 15mins then got cut off. My wife had a appointment with the nurse and explained that I was trying to make a appointment and to call back on the 14th. Called back on the 14th March after been on hold for 35mins I was told no appointments available today. Can i have a doctor to me back no we've fully booked. I asked the receptionist what should I do call back tomorrow. I laughed and put the phone down. I do not visit the surgery very often so I'm not one for wasting there time . I just need to see a doctor to sort out this issue.

Review titled Shoddy Customer service.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Paul Rowen - Posted on 04 March 2024
I had an appointment to have my bloods taken at 1:20 today 4/3/24. Before I proceed I have to say the nurse taking my bloods was extremely efficient and polite. Whilst I was in the surgery I decided to book an appointment with the doctor for an unrelated issue. At the time I approached the reception there was nobody else in the surgery communal area but there were at least 2-3 staff in the office behind reception. I stood there for approximately 5 minutes whilst I was totally ignored by the receptionists. After about 5 minutes two ladies (patients) came and started to queue behind me. I turned and asked "Hope you are not in a rush are you?". immediately one of the receptionists who was sat nearest me got up and asked if I was been seen to, I said I wasn't. explaining that "I had just lost 5 minutes of my life that I would not get back." I was told that "I could phone up and make an appointment." I said "I did not want to wait for a further time on the phone and as my appointment was non urgent I wanted to get it sorted whilst I was in the surgery." I made my appointment with a doctor and left the surgery. I was appalled by the way I was initally completely ignored by the reception staff. I work in the Customer Service industry myself and I would feel a fraud if I treated people in the way I was treated then still expect my wages for the days work. Finally I must point out that I have raised similar issues with the receptionists at your surgery in the past. Obviously the management at the surgery have not taken the steps to improve the situation, which shows they too don't deserve their daily publicly funded wage. I await your feedback.

Everything you would expect from a great Medical Centre, from reception staff, phone handling,Doctors consultation, Nurses accommodated answers to other queries regarding advice and timescales of annual check up’s along with travel vaccinations. I found all staff to be pleasant, accommodating and had an emphatic ear to all my queries.

Review titled Great doctors

It’s a great practice, however the waiting times are sometimes off, not all the time just some of the time I don’t really mind personally but others do. I would recommended it because I personally like the practice it’s very professional and welcoming however it could do with a splash of colour so it’s not as daunting for younger children.

Review titled Standard GP for an app but the gp’s are great
Rated 4 stars out of 5

My last appointment was a pre booked appointment so no messing about and I was in and out but trying to book an appointment less than about 10 days in advance is just not possible and you get told to call on the day. If you’re not hitting dial at 7.59.30 then constantly pressing redial you have no chance of a same day appointment. I have called the doctors at 8.01 before and pressed redial 30/40 times and then when finally got through all appointments are gone and been told to call again tomorrow. Only prebookable appointments are around 2/3 weeks in advance. All that aside wich I know is the case for most GP these days when you eventually get to see a doctor I can confirm the ones at this practise are really good and are quick to get you the nessisary tests done. They don’t just fob you off they actually investigate the issues.
