Review titled Not fit for purpose
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 November 2023
Rang at 14.00 as asthma symptoms had worsened. Call handler put me hold to speak with a clinician. Response was the practice was at full capacity so advised to call NHS 111. I asked to speak to practice ma ager but was informed this was not possible. Appears that unless you are lucky to get a call answered in the morning you won't get a service. Out of capacity but still taking on new patients. This practice has been rated sub standard previously and urgently requires the relevant authority to review it

Review titled Would not recommend
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Andrew Huss - Posted on 22 December 2023
I'm not surprised this is the bottom of the list when it comes to GP surgery's in Telford, the service to begin with is shocking, there is no empathy or understanding from either front of house staff or anyone else for that matter, which for a medical practice you'd think would be their top priority. Just to be able to see a GP there is a barrage of nonsense which includes several phone calls, then you have to speak to a pharmacist, then a clinician only to be be told my query is above their head and that I'd need to speak to a specialist... but they're the ones who told me to go to you? I know confusing right. Funny part, they have a review next to the reception desk where it's almost green across the board for service, it's from 2018 can you please update it to reflect your current standards. I dont understand how a GP surgery that is meant to help people can be the total opposite, it's like they're doing you a massive favour booking you an appointment and seeing you, do they not realise they deal with people who are ill, in chronic pain, have mental health issues and worse. They are rude, don't listen and try to fob you off instead of actually trying to help, I just hope that their ineptitude doesn't hurt someone else.

Review titled Inappropriate triage
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 September 2023
I am writing on behalf of my mother who is 89 years old. She often has issues understanding the receptionist. I would like to suggest that the people doing triage slow down, speak clearer and/or louder to help. My mother requested a doctor's appointment, but the triage sent her elsewhere, though she wasn't entirely sure what/where. She could not understand the response. She said so at the time, but got exactly the same flood of words in the same voice, speed etc. So, she found herself with the physio. The physio said he couldn't help her! (unsurprising), but then he did not accompany her to reception to ensure the she got to see a duty doctor, which is what should have happened in this case, to recognise that the triage system had made a mistake. As a result reception were not made aware of the error in triage. At reception she was offered an appointment on the Monday only. She had open sores on her hands and has been suffering for some time. Should she have gone to A&E? She is tired of trying to be assertive at 89 and feels let down. I feel let down on her behalf. I can't always be there when she calls to help her and to make sure that she gets to see the appropriate person. Please can the triage system be improved so these sorts of situations do not arise.

Review titled Perhaps things are changing????????
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 June 2023
Yes: I had a very positive experience, so felt that this should be shared. I booked two appointments for my elderly parents on the same day 15 mins apart, with the help of a very pleasant lady over the phone. My parents attended their appointments , I then received a telephone call later that day from the practice asking how my father was , as they were concerned about him. Above and beyond my expectations.. Thankyou.

I've been with this medical practice for a lot of years and from then till this day can't say brilliant they are.. OK so the phones are a bit dodgy but I've had no trouble with this the doctors are exceptional as are the clinicians.. The receptionists are very welcoming and helpful.. Keep up the good work. And thank you.

Review titled no improvement in service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 March 2023
I've had an issue now for over 12 months resulting in blood tests, an MRI, seeing the physio several times, seeing or speaking to clinicians 4 or 5 times, speaking to their pharmacist several times. I still have no diagnosis and have not been seen by a doctor. I have just tried to phone in response to some blood test results, waited on the patient countdown service for 40 minutes until I was number one in the queue and then was cut off! They just cannot get their admin sorted at this place. I went in person the other day and was greeted by a very morose and uninterested receptionist. You come away from the place feeling more depressed than when you go in. Nobody seems to have a good view of the place and indeed some of my neighbours have abandoned this surgery. Why on earth can't they operate an efficient, patient-friendly service? We need CQC to get things sorted here, properly sorted. You have enough evidence via the reviews.

Review titled Very shocking service.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 January 2023
Terrible service when rang and was waiting on the phone for over 1hour 30 minutes. Was calling about my daughters jabs only for the staff member to be very rude over phone and would not book them for any day and time suitable for me and basically gave me no option but to take the date they had given. Absolutely appalled by the service have always been given. Whole doctors needs a serious good looking at.
