The nurses and reception staff are excellent, the doctors, however, seem to be nothing more than glorified middlemen. The last three times I have attended I have been told that they need to refer me and that waiting lists were 1-2 years. They appear to be more comfortable throwing drugs at a problem rather than identifying and treating the root cause. Additionally, last time I tried to get an appointment I had to redial 148 times starting at 8am to get through.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your most recent experience since we constantly work to use patient feedback to help make their visits with us better. When a referral is necessary, doctors have little to no control over the waiting times since they must adhere to NHS-mandated guidelines and procedures. We apologise that you had to phone us so many times, but the period between 8am and 10am is one of the busiest for answering calls. Despite our best efforts to have someone on hand to answer calls, there are times when things can get very busy and patients may not be able to speak with someone as quickly as they would like. My HCA is amazing Makes me feel so comfortable Just an absolute legend I’m newly diagnosed with a autoimmune condition and I have never felt like someone cares as much as my HCA Just an amazing person all round

Regarding this appointment for a flu vaccination the surgery was extremely well oiled with cheerful, helpful and efficient staff.
