    I was pleasantly surprised that I got an appointment to be seen on the same day and didn’t have to wait long at the surgery to be seen. The Doctor I saw was very helpful.

    I make this comment in response to the text message invitation to do so from the Pinn Centre Reception Team. The medical attention I received at my appointment yesterday was exemplary. However I continue to be less than impressed by your present booking system. In my view, it is far too complicated and would be difficult to navigate by anyone less well versed than I in computer-driven communication. I'm thinking of the elderly in particular. I tried to make an appointment the day before yesterday but the Patchs 'system' you employ informed me you were full and that I should try again tomorrow at 8.00am. This I did and duly got an appointment a couple of hours later. Good. But had I really needed an appointment the day before - I have a UTI which, although not an emergency, is unpleasant and painful - past experience (last November) would indicate I would have been pointed in the direction of the 111 service and (later) the Urgent Care Centre at Northwick Park A & E. That day (last November) it took me a total of nine hours (five of them in the A & E waiting area) to be prescribed the required antibiotic. It took the doctor I saw yesterday a good deal less than the allotted 10 minutes to do the same (in addition to setting up other tests I will need). I am all too aware that it is a lot easier to identify a problem than to solve it. I am also aware of the pressure GP practices are under to cut appointment waiting times. However, I would suggest the system you currently have in place is (overly) complicated and not flexible enough to cater for patients with sub-emergency serious conditions.

    When this Practice opened at its current site, it was efficient and easy to book an appointment… Now they use Patches…. It has taken me 4 days to book an appointment..!! The appointment was for 1730hrs…. It’s now 1818hrs and I’m still here.. Woefully poor service Scrap patches…. A complete waste of time and money

We are sorry it took 4 days for you to get an appointment through PATCHS and that you was kept waiting for 45 minutes before you got seen.     When you have mastered patches it is very good. Large number of doctor available. Good support staff. Patches not always ready available. Reseptonist OK.

    I logged on to Patchs at 8:10am, entered details of what was troubling me, had a message back within 10 mins, saying an appointment had been made for later in the morning to see a Dr. Turned up at appointment time and only had to wait 5 mins. Dr was very pleasant and professional and I was out within 10 / 15 mins with antibiotics and a referral to see a consultant. The free one hour parking outside also makes a positive difference

    The Patchs system works well. When necessary I have been contacted promptly and seen the same day. Doctors, nurses, health care assistants and admin.staff have all given first rate care.
