  1. Review titled A professional, clean, modern practice. 5 Stars.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Bren - Posted on 14 September 2023

Easy parking within the surgery grounds, and very good access to the building with two very good entry points. Access to a good ‘overworked’ pharmacy that is suffering from the Uk wide 'under supply' of pharmaceutical items. The pharmacy has been let down by its third party 'text when ready service,’ which it is aware of, and remedying. The pharmacy still provides a very good service. Both in person, as well as through telephone communication, I have always found the Park Surgery admin staff very helpful. The Dr’s and Nurses are dedicated to their profession, which reflects well within the practice. The Park Surgery call back service has worked every time for me, as has the online service for ordering repeat prescriptions. Latterly I’ve had reason to overburden this excellent practice, and not once have they let me down (their referral and follow up system for contacting consultants is second to none.) For those who drive; the Nafferton Practice is also a brilliant back up that is able to offer appointments upon request, as well as issue prescriptions through their pharmacy. I would urge those who do find fault with the practice to consult with them to sort out their grievances, bearing in mind that every practice throughout the Nhs system has had to contend with the constraints of two years (rolling onwards) of the Covid Virus. Patients, and patience is definitely an odd mix when illness happens. We are all human ... Yours Aye Gratefully ...

Thank you for your honest feedback and lovely comments. We do try our very best for our patients, sometimes in very difficult circumstances that are not always within our control. From all the team - thank you.

Hard to get through too , I’ve had to make complaints about treatment and avoidance of contact and even prescriptions for my sons severe asthma medication, too medical board etc before , get hung up on when just on hold a lot. Quite dirty inside cobwebs in ceilings Can’t even send you numbers to send pictures through too for chemist referral, can’t get an appointment , some quite rude staff too If we could move surgeries we would but our catchment area won’t allow Joke of a place 99% of the time

  3. Review titled Horrific practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Drs are incompetent, they cannot work with other NHS services and are unaware of what other services in the NHS provide. Well known joke of a surgery. Nurses and reception staff are great but god help you if you are unlucky enough to get a Dr. 13-14 times I’ve been with the same issue, told to try an NHS service by the Drs twice now, a service that has twice said they don’t / can’t with help and the Drs need to sort it out. Referral to specialist wasn’t made after being told it would be, took 3 weeks and yet another appointment with a lovely nurse who actually looked at the issue and made the referral. This Drs is grossly incompetent on a significant amount of levels.

  4. Review titled Great appointment system

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The new system of submitting a request online is brilliant. You submit information about your problem securely online and receive a message back with appointment times to choose from if it’s not an issue that needs to be dealt with immediately or same day appointments for issues that do need to be dealt with quickly and it is all so efficient. No battle of trying to get through on the phone at 8am to find out there’s no appointments left! Under this new system, I have received telephone appointments the same day where needed and also had face to face appointments the same day where needed too, meaning problems are treated quickly. I’ve also had the option of choosing appointments for non- urgent problems at a time convenient to me. I have been able to speak to my preferred GP each time and, for the same, non urgent problems, it’s meant that the care I’ve had is consistent and the GP is familiar with me. Every member of surgery staff I’ve dealt with have been professional, supportive and helpful and I would highly recommend this surgery.

  5. Review titled Terrible practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Where do I start! They do not want patients, put as many hurdles in the way as they can. Don’t try to phone, they hate them, never pick up. The online form is terrible. They have not decided to refuse Ventolin inhalers on repeat prescriptions! After 25 years I’ll have to buy them online. Shocking practice, it just gets worse and worse.

  6. Review titled Terrible Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I work an hour away so I am on the road when you have to call the surgery to book an appt, so it is inevitable that one is going to lose signal and have to keep calling back, however in general there are extremely long wait times on the phone and then all appts are gone. I had a appt with a physician who after call said she would arrange an appt with a doctor as the advise passed on by my own doctor was not acceptable. I received a iron infusion a while a go due to my body not absorbing iron and advised by consultant I would probably need another one in the future. Blood test last Nov showed very low levels of ferritin (though I was not advised till recent appt with physician) identifying I would need an infusion (if my file had been read) I receive a prescription for iron tablets. The Physician advised as my haemoglobin was ok maybe I didn't need an infusion, I advised her that it was ok last time, she checked and said oh yes. I ask to go back on HRT and advise passed on from my doctor was no, you can go on an anti depressants !! just wow. I receive a text for telephone appt, I call and wait forever to advise the receptionist I was to have a face to face, you can't was the response, you have to be triaged first, I have I responded. I asked for the doctor to be emailed to advise as told by the physician, chased twice. Still nothing, my telephone appt is next week. Had an appt on the 10th for B12 told by receptionist I was a no show, I showed her my text showing the time of appt and she said, you were a no show. I said my appt is in 10 mins, no it was changed, I was not aware, no apology just blamed the nurse. I have been at this surgery since it was opened. Absolutely appalling service, the staff need customer service training and should remember that patients maybe in a vulnerable place and kindness and manners go a long way. I sent an email last year to the practice manager, no response. I asked that the practice manage call me last year, nothing, I asked to speak to her or an email address recently so I could let her know how I had been treated. You will have to make a complaint came the reply. So seeing the responses on here to say we are sorry, if you could contact the practice manager is laughable. I have even written to the Partners and still no response.. I appreciate that you are all under enormous amount of pressure, however there are things that you can do to make it better for your patients and your staff.

They decided to have staff training all at once and would not answer the phone to anyone. Witch meant loads of people didn't get their meds and some of these people really needed them. They are very very rude when you try speak to them. If I'm honest I'm going to move doctors as these lot have no time or care for there patients

  8. Review titled Let down by practice

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 January 2023

Husband attended with chest infection. Found AF and told to make his way to hospital. In December AF flared up again and taken by ambulance to hospital. Have tried to see GP to find out more about condition but still have not managed to arrange. I contacted them myself for a back problem and told to go to A&E without seeing a doctor and ask for a MRI scan. Did as instructed and told the advice I had been given was inappropriate. Tried to speak to surgery again to request a referral for the scan or to a neurologist but got cut off twice. Have since arranged this privately but what will happen if investigations are needed as I don't have insurance.

  9. Review titled Blood test

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 November 2022

I had my bloods taken at park surgery, I was very nervous as you can imagine. I had never been to this surgery before and I certainly would never go back! The lady who took my bloods had an awful attitude, she was sassy and spoke down on me. She used mean sarcasm when I explained I didn’t know where to sit in the waiting room for my blood test! My mum takes bloods in the hospital and is always kind to her patients by reassuring them whether they are nervous or not. And I understand that it has to be a quick process but my gosh she wanted me in and out as soon as possible, no smile and no politeness whatsoever!
