I completed the on line e consult service and within a short time the surgery contacted me to arrange a consultation with the practice nurse. Very helpful, good medic /patient relationship and thorough checks. Even a phone call follow up review.

I was recently contacted to inform me that there was no record of me having a measles vaccination on my records. I was always told by my parents that I’d had the MMR vaccine as a child, but was told there was no record of it. I made an appointment, however when I attended and went into the nurses room, she told me I hadn’t needed to come as I’d had the vaccine years ago. When I asked why I was contacted telling me the contrary, it was because the codes for the vaccination were different years ago. She did apologise for any inconvenience. Surely staff checking these records should be given all the codes to look for, as I’m probably not the only patient this has happened to.

I am not satisfied with the results of my appointment, I expected to be referred to the dermatologist. I have had the problem with my lip for approximately six weeks. I have already had skin cancer removed within the last year and I am very concerned especially as both my parents died of cancer. I feel I came away from the appointment without the problem being dealt with.

The consultation was to discuss my recent blood test results. The doctor explained clearly what the issue was, did a thorough examination, and has referred me for x-rays and further blood tests. I left the examination room feeling very positive.

Found the surgery to be clean and tidy and reception to be friendly and efficient, doctor listened to me and made assessment and organised ongoing tests. I am pleased with my visit, although obviously would have preferred not to have to go in the first place.

I provided a detailed e consult and as a result I was given an appointment within 48 hours at my chosen surgery. I had to wait about 45 minutes after my appointment time but when I was called the doctor was very thorough and helpful.

The E-Consult needs to be reviewed to make it easier to use. For example, if your doctor wants a follow up review consultation, one has to go through the rigmarole of filling in multiple irrelevant questions.

Many thanks for your review, we appreciate your feedback. We are still the early stages of introducing the new online total triage and it is helpful to receive feedback from our patient using this so we can look at patterns in issues raised. We appreciate it is change for us all but we believe it and it has proven to be a great benefit.

The nurse I saw was friendly and well informed and the receptionist helpful sorting out a query I had. Hard to maintain this when under constant pressure so I appreciate it all the more. Thank you
