Dear Joanne Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and brilliant 4-star rating for our phlebotomy (blood test) clinic. We are proud to offer this service to our patients and we also open it up to patients from other practices so they can have blood tests quickly (usually within 2-3 days). Kind regards DS

Getting an appointment is not an easy task as I had to wait two weeks before I could get an appointment some receptionists are not very helpful and all information about the patient isn’t passed on quick enough

Dear Joanne I'm sorry to hear that you've found it difficult accessing an appointment. I hope you will try the online consultation system "Patchs" via our website and let us know how you find that. It's a shame to hear your experience that information isn't passed on quick enough through the Practice team. We will reflect on your comments and learn from this. Kind regards DS

  4. Review titled Requires leadership

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I have been prescribed a course of tablets that should have lasted two months for an effective outcome. I was only given one month’s supply and have tried to request the second month in order that I will not lose the benefit gained. Fourteen tablets were then prescribed (nearly four weeks ago). However, the Practice stated that I needed a ‘prescription review’ and a blood test before getting the remaining tablets. A telephone consultation with a member of the Pharmacy Team was arranged. I requested an afternoon call as I had a funeral in the morning. I was informed that the Pharmacist could not work to a given timescale, as they were working at home, but the message would be passed. I returned early from the funeral and waited all day from that time but never received a call. The first available appointment for a blood test was for after the prescription review which appeared to be completely the wrong way round. It has now been eleven days without the tablets. I worry that all the benefit from the original course of tablets will now be lost.

Dear patient Thank you for this insightful review and I'm sorry you only rate us 3 out of 5 stars. I'm sorry to hear about issues with receiving your medication and that the review process was not simple. Please be assured there is no need to go without medication, and that emergency medication can be supplied via NHS 111 out of hours. I will share this feedback with our pharmacists so that they can review their processes to ensure this doesn't happen again. Kind regards DS

  5. Review titled Repeat Perscription

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by George Mulhall - Posted on 03 October 2023

Unable to reorder through nhs app, I phoned Grange Practice, I was told I could override it on the app, I could not find this, rang my chemist, he said he has had lots of people complaining with the same problem, phone surgery again, told I needed a review and I would get a phone call, nobody rang me, I tried to reorder again and it worked, I would have appreciated a txt to let me know and if I have to have a review I will call at the surgery for a blood test if required. All a bit over complicated. Keep it simple!

  6. Review titled Doctors Beyond Capacity

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Peter johnson - Posted on 26 September 2023

Visited practice 20 September - diagnosis given, medication prescribed with the proviso, if no better, contact Practice or 111 if out of hours. Feeling no better, telephoned Practice and explained situation. Advised to contact 111 (time 2.15pm) as the Doctors were beyond capacity. Contacted 111 who referred me to Huddersfield infirmary. Very, very busy at A&E - eventually rediagnosed and medication collected today. pharmacy on site closed.

Dear Peter I'm sorry to hear about your recent experience of the Practice. Unfortunately, it can sometimes be difficult to anticipate unexpected demand on our service and, like any appointment system, our appointment lists can become full. I'm glad you were able to use the NHS 111 out of hours service and they were able to support. They play an essential part in supporting patients who cannot wait until the GP reopens. Kind regards DS

  9. Review titled Unorganised

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have booked a long appointment to discuss 3 things with the doctor. At my appointment I have discussed one thing and went on discuss the rest, at that point the doctor has told me that they no longer have time for me and I need to reschedule my appointment for another week! I have booked 30 mins appointments, I left after 5, I went to speak to reception to book another appointment, the lady at the reception was confused why ty doctor hasn’t listened to all my problems. I managed to book another appointment for next week! Another week of waiting and wasting time!!! Absolutely disgusting how the doctors are allowed to do that. If we were late we wouldn’t have been seen but when it’s the other way round it’s acceptable?!!!

Dear Andrzej I'm sorry to have received your 1-star rated review and to hear about the issues you've experienced. Unfortunately, appointments in General Practice are often limited to 10 minutes and our clinicians ask patients to discuss the most important problem first. I'm sorry we don't always have more time to discuss all of your problems in one appointment, but it's good to hear you only had to wait one week before seeing again. I would be more than happy to discuss this further, if it would be useful for you and help you navigate our systems of access in future. Please call the surgery and we will be happy to help. Kind regards DS

My diabetic assessment was great but at the end I mentioned being chessty and having rescue pack . Dr care from surgery said 3 year ago I should have one as my breathing is bad . Receptionist irdered one then I was told it jeeded reviewing . I got call today from doctor saying that i didnt get pack because of diabetese . I explained nurse had adviced it and ive had one for years as an ex nurse I dont use antibiotics unless neededcbut inhaler is needed . I got told To make appointment for asthma test . What is it coming to when a year old disabled patient with diabetese abd breathing issues has to run round trying to get lift to doctors because walking is bad . I love the staff at the practice and im sorry to give a negative review but it feels as if nobody listens anymore
