I have lived all over the country and I have to say this is the best doctor surgery As long as you do everything online I have found the response time to be fantastic Even on a Monday when you expect there to be a delay 5 stars I also think the practice manager does a very good job The only downfall is that on the weekend, you cannot use patch the online communications app For Monday morning And that is very infuriating But if you are elderly and you don’t have the Internet I have seen firsthand how people get very upset talking to reception, they can’t ring up and order their prescription over the phone not everybody has online access and this is a downfall

We currently accept online requests 24/7, however patients should be aware we do not open or respond to Patchs at weekend. We aim to improve access to our services by using online alongside more traditional access methods, so nobody is left behind. Kind regards DS

11m cut his finger on Sunday, Tuesday morning it was red and inflamed, oozing puss. I rang the gp (approx 8:50am) who said there were no appointments left and to go to a+e. I had to leave a+e without being seen for school pick up. I rang the gp Wednesday morning, who gave me a telpehone appointment. I emailed pictures of finger. No such call (no missed call, no automoated text from my phone, no answerphone message and no text from the surgery). On Thursday I got a text to say medicine was ready at the pharmacy. I went to collect (expectying antibiotics). This was medicine requested 10days previous). Still no support. I rang the surgery again Friday- who claimed they had rung. No apppintment offered before the weekend. Child now with red arm and feverish. I got medicine by other means! This is shocking and I am tired of sounding the alarm for care for my children - especially ones so young.

Dear Mrs Harwood Thanks for letting us know about your recent experience of the Practice. I'm sorry to learn you only rate us 2-stars out of a possible 5. We would always try to see patients under 5 the same day. Unfortunately, like any appointment system, we can experience surges in demand and become full. When this happens, we can trust supporting services to see patients who have urgent needs - eg NHS 111 or the local walk-in centre. We would always try to see patients here at the Surgery where this suits patient's needs and timeframes. Once again, I'm sorry to hear you were disatisfied and I hope that you will leave a review to let us know how we're doing next time. Kind regards DS

I recently made a request by email for three medications. Only the first two were delivered and following a phone call it seems that the third item was not requested internally due to an administrative error. I am awaiting this last item to be prescribed and delivered in due course.

Being told I could not see a doctor when I was breathless by a rude receptionist, I'm not one to goto the docs all the time but when I really needed to see one nobody cared. Got told I could have a phone call appointment 4 days later, not very good at all

Dear Samantha I'm sorry to hear about your poor experience with a rude receptionist. This is absolutely not acceptable and not what I would expect for our patients. Occasionally there can be a short wait for an appointment, and we should always try our best to offer alternatives and options for patient who need immediate attention. We can often signpost patients who need immediate attention to NHS 111 (typically for out of hours care) or the local Walk-in centre for a sit and wait appointment. Kind regards DS

Unfortunately I do have Occassion to use the Grange Group Practice services on a regular basis. Every time I use them I am even more impressed. They appear to have a great system in place for dealing with people in a quick and efficient manner

We have been using the Grange for 25 years and since the old partners left we noticed a down turn in service longer telephone waiting times hard to get appointments etc .Over the last year we have seen an improvement across the board and we now feel confident in the practice

Had an issue health wise spoke to an extremely helpful receptionist who immediately sought a consultation for myself within 4 hours doctor rang me and sorted my issue well done the Grange
