Review titled Worst practice ever!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 January 2023
I'm with collage practice many year and always wasn't great but now it's ridiculous. First, to make a face to face appointment it's basically not possible, always through the phone. They diagnosed my son for asthma over the phone. But.. I had a phone call appointment today because I'm struggling with headaches for the past 3 weeks, every day plus I'm taking medication for high blood pressure. The doctor over the phone said to monitor my blood pressure for 2 weeks and that's it! When I mentioned thats nothing to do with my blood pressure as I'm checking regularly, she was still saying the same. After this I mentioned I would like some test to run, bloods, ECG, maybe MRI as I feel that's something wrong plus I'm too young (30y ) for having problems with blood pressure and headaches every day. On the end of conversation I've managed to sort referral to neurologist but the appointment can take up to 6 months and by the I should take cocodamol for the pain ! This practice does not cope properly ! It should be investigate what's the problem there, why people can not see the doctors!

Your nurse at Barming is outstanding. She was very caring and her attention to detail was second to none.

Review titled Very poor
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have phoned again and again to get the results of a blood test. The queue is always full. Message says urgent calls only from 12th Dec to 6 Jan 23 ?? This is a GP practice and how can i know if my condition needs urgent treatment if i can't get the results of a test? It is so worrying. This issue is just the last in a full list of other problems that i have experinced when trying to book an appointment.

Review titled Impossible to Contact
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Thomas How - Posted on 18 November 2022
Every time I, or my wife, try to contact the surgery, we are told the phone queue is full and to try again later. Without fail. E-consult is only good for non-urgent matters that can wait 2 or more weeks, but if you have an urgent issue it's nigh on impossible to get an appointment. Further, the only way to lodge a formal complaint is by phoning... Which, as mentioned, is impossible. As someone with a long term medical condition, it is actually quite scary how difficult it is to contact the surgery. If we had any choice at all, we wouldn't be using this practice at all.
