In the past ten years I have struggled with anxiety and depression. I was med-free for most of the past year, but I hit a very difficult patch last month. As usual, I wasn't entirely sure why I was feeling so low (it always takes a while for the penny to drop, for some reason). I eventually realised that I would need some help, so I contacted Stourport Medical Centre. It was the second time I have used the triage system (I used it a couple of months previously for back pain issues). On both occasions it has worked extremely well: I find typing my symptoms on the screen a much less stressful experience than waiting in a phone queue. I have always been dealt with very quickly, but on the second occasion it was quite remarkable - I received a call back within minutes. I was in some distress, but my call was handled with the utmost care and consideration. The situation was resolved quickly and kindly, and I was able to pick up a new prescription that same afternoon. I will always be grateful for the practical support and human kindness I received that day. I feel my experience benefited from two key factors: a well thought out system that enables service users to access the care they need with minimum hassle, plus the attentive and sensitive response from the practice nurse. Thank you for this, I am truly grateful.

Went for general check up today blood pressure check etc young lady I saw kindly put link on my mobile then went on to book me an appointment on line have talked to a Doctor the afternoon . Hopefully will be able to book my own appointments in future .

An excellent practice to have in the area. The reception staff are fabulous and always do their best to help. If you ring and speak to a care navigator they are both knowledgeable and informative. If an appointment with a GP is required there is always one available. The new triage system worked very well for my husband. I appreciate that some patients may struggle with the new system but you can always request a call back. I think the staff are doing a commendable job. Thank you.
