  3. Review titled Not good on reception

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 July 2024

My daughter came in the practice with her baby who was having breathing difficulties. Only to be sent away no appointments..told to go walk in centre. Only to be rushed into hospital by ambulance. So who ever was on reception that day needs more training. And the priority of children.. baby is on oxygen and has bin kept in.. this is not good enough..

  4. Review titled Above and beyond expectations

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I contacted the surgery, Regarding a Mental health issue, the receptionist told me I would receive a call from a Doctor to which I did but unfortunately I missed the call, usually I would have expected to make another appointment the next day, but no the Doctor called me back whilst I was on another call, I spoke to him and explained I was on the phone to the nhs helpline, he said don’t hang up I promise I will call you back this evening, to his word at 21:00 he called me back, I suffer with a degenerative eye condition called rp and I am at a stage where my eyesight is virtually gone and this caused me to have a mini episode, after explaining the reasons behind this, he explained he actually studied with rp patients at university, he talked me through his experience of working with patients suffering from rp and actually made me feel normal again, and not alone in what I was going through, we discussed plans for the future and what had helped other patients he had spoken to with rp and also medication and I was unsure, out of the goodness of his own heart he said to me, I will tell you what I will do, I will call you back on Wednesday it’s not a appointment, ( basically in his own time )but I personally want to give you the time to make the decision you want to make, to his word he called me today and he was fantastic,In Summary the world needs more people in it like this doctor , I will ever be grateful for his help and advice.

  5. Review titled Passive aggressive recceptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Pam Tipping - Posted on 12 August 2023

The receptionist was initially helpful and friendly until she realised that I had turn up for an appointment made 3 weeks earlier and was not in their system. She then told me to go home and ring up Monday. When I said I wasnt happy with that she told me she wasn't there to argue and to take her advice and go home. Not sure who she thought she was talking to but I'm no kid and I expect better customer service than what she delivered. Smug, arrogant, patronising and aggressive is not what I expect when they have screwed up. I'm leaving the practice not because they screwed up with my appointment I can accept mistakes are made. Not because they arranged an appointment with me previously and texted to cancel it and told me to ring up to make another appointment a few weeks ago ( you cancelled my appointment not me so you ring me to arrange another appointment). I am leaving because I will not be spoken to so rudely by anyone under any circumstances but as this was there error it just makes it worse.

Today I had cause to ring the surgery (my dad's) The receptionist was very helpful The GP rang me back. the GP saw my dad face to face within 20 mins of the call. I asked for a wheelchair which there was no problem with From start to finish it much improved to the service previously given. My dad is 86 and has been with the same Drs all his life What a turn around 5 stars

  7. Review titled Mixed messaged

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was going to pick up some information that was in a letter for a friend who is struggling to walk. They asked her for help permission and my name who was collecting. I set off and they rung her to say I can’t collect. I contacted them to ask why and I got told she has to send proof in an email I.e a photo I’d like a passport or D/L I disagreed and asked if the email is secured I did not get an answer I just got you don’t understand. I am furious I asked the question as they wanted me to send private documentation via a email address. The patient I was collecting for is due for hip surgery and unanticipated walk and they won’t let me or her husband collect just her. This is a joke she can barely walk. They say it’s for insurance detail that she collects herself and they won’t send by post. They will send if she sends documentation over by email and they will FaceTime her first to verify who she is. She is over 80+ years and don’t know FaceTime what are you people playing at and thank you for hanging up when I said you don’t understand is your email secure

  10. Review titled Shocking practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Tried for nearly 2 hours to get a separate prescription for one item which was unavailable at Lloyd’s pharmacy. I needed other items on prescription ASAP so only needed one item. By the time I got through on the phone, the prescription desk was closed. It should have taken less than five minutes but after following all your instructions, I still haven’t got it. I had the same problem last month and was given the wrong barcode. This is unaccebtable, and bad for people’s health having to cope with something that should be straightforward. Also, it’s delaying sick people from getting help for emergencies. The thoughts of having to phone them makes me physically sick.
