Review titled Not even aloud to speak to a doctor
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 11 June 2024
Phoned at 8am. 10 times each time a message saying its not possible to take my call. At 8.45 finally get automated message: u are 30 plus in the queue press 1 for call back. They phoned back after 1 hour and told me to go and see pharmacist. I have a severe cough for a week now which is getting worse every day. I am vomiting and out of breath. I am taking already over the counter medication and I can not see a doctor because some very important nurse decided I have a cold. What person has to do to see a proper doctor and get medical care?

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience you have faced. It is clear that there was very high demand and pressure on our phone lines, and we regret the frustration caused by this. The high call volumes during peak times can unfortunately lead to delays, but we understand the importance of timely access to medical advice. It is crucial to inform us about the severity of your present condition to ensure you get the right appointment. Please contact the practice directly at your earliest convenience to arrange an appointment with a doctor. If symptoms persist or worsen, seeking immediate medical attention at the nearest emergency department is strongly recommended. We appreciate your feedback as it helps identify areas for improvement. Once again, we apologise for any distress caused. Sincerely, Park Surgery Team

Review titled Was best surgery disappointed with present service
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by David Bowers - Posted on 21 June 2024
Annual medication review, I am disabled, was asked by pharmacy clinician to visit surgery to use in-house blood pressure monitor on 1st. floor, give results to receptionist to add to my records. On visiting surgery lift out of order so struggled with stairs not ideal. When phoning to make an appointment was cut off several times, not acceptable for a surgery! Also some phone receptionists come across non caring and abrupt. Not the surgery I used to know. When talking to receptionist now why the formality? Where is the care and concern for the patient. The nursing staff are fantastic, but let down by administrative staff.

, such a bad practise good luck to anybody that doesn’t want somewhere that will loose there personal details or god forbid be able to actually get an appointment . About time management was either changed or the place shut down , or the Red Cross called in to cover the absolute shambles , absolute disgrace.

Review titled Awful practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

Spoke to a Dr the end of March by telephone. Have issues with my toes and was offered two options 1. To purchase medication of-shelf or 2. To be prescribed medication. I opted for No. 2. I gave blood and nail clippings again in March and no contact has been made by the surgery and it's now end May. I filled in their econsult service and was told I would be contacted within 48 hours. Yet again no contact. I don't use the surgery very often however I am shocked and appalled by this treatment. Awful practice.

Review titled Appalling Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lorraine Hepburn - Posted on 08 November 2023
I've had pains in my wrist for a year. Last year I waited a month for a phone call from a doctor who then arranged for me to see a Physiotherapist 2 weeks later without seeing me. I now have issues with my knuckles seizing and locking and can't get an appointment for "several weeks" according to Reception. I can call at 8am but never get through or I can turn up at reception at 8am except driving is becoming increasingly difficult because I can't see anyone to find out why my hands are locking. This surgery is an absolute waste of time!

Review titled Calling surgery at 8 am
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 June 2023
Every time I call surgery at 8 am I am told I am over position 30 in the queue, this is absolutely disgusting and should be looked into. I cant always be over position 30, and then after wating 45 minutes am told someone will call you back, by which time there are no appointments available for that day. Even going into surgery the waiting room is empty.
