Rang for a telephone appointment with Doctor, had a call back within half hour was prescribed something to help me which was ready half hour later, a physio assesment appointment was made for week later where it was suggested I could have a steroid injection to help with pain if I wanted which I was more than happy to try. Two days later I was rang by Doctor offering me an appointment that same day for the injection I was so happy. Great service from Doctors, Reception, Pharmacy, Health Care Nurses who I have had several appontments with for other issues recently. Thank you to all at Widdrington Surgery.

Exceptional care given to my mum from the very start of asking for help The receptionist was caring, considerate and kind and offered me an appointment at the end of the day, which I am so grateful for . The Gp rang me back within the hour and gave prompt treatment which avoided my mum from deteriorating further ! Mum is now improving thanks to these two amazing staff members Thank you so much

Review titled Brr Freezing
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Irene Hodgson - Posted on 21 November 2022
I was at the surgery this morning for my COVID booster. I couldn't believe how cold it was - both in the waiting area and in the Outreach room. I know that energy prices are rising but I would expect a doctor's surgery to have adequate heating. We live in a small village and most of the patients are elderly. Stop being so penny-pinching.

Dear Irene, I am sorry that your visit to us was spoiled by the cold. Unfortunately, our boiler broke-down yesterday, and as a result the heating to the building failed. We take the comfort of our patients and staff seriously and immediately arranged for engineers to attend, to remedy the situation. However, the earliest possible slot was 'next day'. We expect that repairs will be carried out today and heating restored to all areas of the building. Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments, as no doubt others experienced the same discomfort – this gives us the opportunity to explain the situation. I do hope that your next visit to the surgery is considerably warmer. Best wishes, Karl Beattie, Practice Manager
