I was able to arrange a call back from the doctor at short notice. The doctor was very understanding of my situation, offered great guidance, involved me in the decision making and how to proceed, and prescribed the required medication right away. I felt very supported, respected and 'listened to'.

After completing an online request at 10.30 in the evening, I was telephones rhe next day before 9am. I was given a same day appointment and have been referred to a specialist straight away. Excellent care and a very kind and genuinely caring GP.

Rang 8.30 am gave symptoms to reception and offered a call back same day. Call received 11.00 am and surgery appointment made for 11.20 am Quick check up for both wife and myself confirmed need for antibiotics 5 day course. Simply excellent treatment and system which we are privileged to have available. We can’t speak highly enough of our experience.

Rang at 08.30 only waited a few minutes for an answer, very pleasant receptionist who was more than happy to help, received a call from the GP within a few hours who again was very understanding and helpful

I signed on as a new patient (easy and friendly service at reception) and only 3 days after was contacted by one of the Doctors who was extremely thorough and spent quite a bit of time with me to ensure I was treated holistically and not for just one problem. Very happy with the practice and the super helpful staff. Would not hesitate to recommend the practice to others.

Following a colostomy in June I had a stoma fashioned and nominated Medilink as my stoma supplier. As Widdrington surgery are unable to do electronic prescriptions and only issue prescriptions by post twice a week there has been an ongoing problem as they have not been received by Medilink to this day despite being reissued,apparently lost in the post. If it were not for Medilink issuing emergency supplies I would have no stoma bag’s etc. This state of affairs is really unacceptable and I would like to know how this distressing situation can be resolved.

To collect repeat prescriptions has went from 2 days to 3 and now it’s a week!! No pharmacist in when I went everyone told no medication could be handed out. Staff very abrupt behind the counter, your made to feel like it’s your fault they have miserable faces with the exception of the young boy they’ve got there now that breathes new life into the place. Doctor appointments are a joke, your told to buy some medication now , no thought to the people’s circumstances that are struggling to live to start with. A change of doctors is a must for us.

Called for my COVID booster at an evening clinic. Staff were really efficient and friendly. I’ve always found this a great practice and very responsive.

Everything about Widdrington/Felton surgeries is wonderful. The doctors, nurses, care support staff, everyone is helpful, thoughtful and responsive. I've lived here for about two years and every time I've needed care I've been looked after really well, treated with respect, and all my issues have been dealt with professionally and supportively.
