Following 24 hours' blood pressure monitoring, an appointment was arranged very quickly with prescribing (surgery) pharmacist who explained clearly the test results & advised course of action. A very useful consultation conducted in a pleasant, professional manner.

I booked in to see practice Pharmacist for my BP which has been high. I was seen at my appointment time, the pharmacist was very thorough and informative, he offered great advice and took his time going through everything. There was a query which he followed up and I received a phone call with the answer with one the hour. I truly felt the treatment was bespoke and not just like “another patient”. A great service!

I had an appointment with the surgery pharmacist today, he was very professional, had a great manner and sent me away feeling well informed, his honesty and knowledge was admirable. This allowed me to make an informed decision and was aware of alternative options

I had an acute problem yesterday that was dealt with in a professional and caring way. I appreciate that the system is not perfect but cannot fault my experience from receptionist to Dr. Many thanks.

For 4 days my son has a fever since yesterday I call the doctor no one wants to help me they refer me to 111, yesterday my son had a fever of 40.3 and they did not accept him, today he also got a rash and also the doctor does not want to accept him again they tell me to call 111 but here I did not get help

Never had a problem at Ingol, all staff are super friendly and face-to-face appointments are so reassuring and kind. Sometimes a delay on the phone but to be expected and often running behind but no real issue. Very happy to be with this surgery compared to previous ones in Preston.

Having been up all night with crippling backache I telephoned the surgery at 0800 hrs as advised, only to be told the queue was full and try again later. After multiple attempts I finally spoke to an operator who told me there were no more appointments this morning and to try again at 1300hrs. This I did, and on the stroke of 1300hrs too. Guess what? Queue was full! Four attempts later I found myself number ten in the queue. Fifteen minutes later, after being asked if my problem was urgent or routine and responding that it was urgent I was told there were no more available appointments for this afternoon and to try again tomorrow at 0800hrs! When I said I would have to go to A and E I was told I could phone 111. In the end I went in desperation to the Web and am treating myself. As others have repeatedly pointed out, this system is unfit for purpose and deeply frustrating. Why not state at the outset that the queue is full rather than making the caller listen to the minute-long speil ? This is not the first time this has happened to me. Last time, hearing I was number eight in the famous queue for fifteen minutes, I got in my car and drove to the surgery, parked up and joined a physical queue only to hear on my phone that I was number four in the ethereal queue. I pointed this out to the receptionist who seemed very dismissive and told me the phone queue was nothing to do with her. If you are going to have upwards of ten thousand patients on your books please at least make some meaningful effort to accommodate them instead of perpetuating this absurd and farcical system. In my opinion the community is ill served by this practice.
