  1. Review titled Surgery needs to be reviewed

Rated 1 star out of 5

This surgery only has a few rare moments of being somewhat good. Otherwise, it's really bad. Recently I've been to them quite a bit for an issue to which they kept sending me back with medicines that didn't help me. To now find out it is something else it's annoying. I am constantly having to speak to them about the same things over and over again. Nothing is urgent to them. I don't understand how people like this is there to look after human beings. I hate having to call or seen anyone here.

  3. Review titled Great Actions Taken I’m reassured

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by HerSis - Posted on 05 June 2024

I called firstly to ask if I could send a form for a doctor there to fill in. I was told what was happening and given information about what I could do, plus given an email address. He said he’d be away but made full notes. I followed it up this week and the receptionist pulled out all the stops to help me and pass on the information to the relevant doctor. I could not fault reception. Thank you

I’m just very upset with this doctors surgery who are unable to give me an appointment The system is completely corrupt If you are unwell you need to fill in an online form then once they receive that the doctors will call you in matter of urgency serial!!! Within 48 hours. Today I received a text with no appointments available and to call 111 I am dying with severe sciatica for the last 7 days and my meds are not working!!

  5. Review titled Major drop in service

Rated 1 star out of 5

Was left really disheartened after my appointment this morning. First, I was offered an appointment a week later after I told them about a recent flare up. I was told I was going to be provided a new steroid, went to collect my prescription to then find out no steroid was included and when I checked my medical record I could see the new medicine but showing as not issued. Now I have to wait until Monday to start chasing for this. I am stressed about my flare up, losing sleep all sorts. Careless is what I call this, how do you forget to include the main medicine that gives your patient relief?! This GP has gone down hill so badly, I need to change. My fault for sticking around. Google reviews aren't great either

  6. Review titled Avoid

My oncologist has write the refferal to the Neurologist, to investigate my problems with a headaches in early 2023. On the20/112023 had appointment with my breast surgeon and he advised me to investigate this refferal further. Managed somehow to arrange the appointment in 27/11/2024, to ask for some support from my GP to speed things up.How wrong I was. Right after without my consent/ knowledge this referal has been canceled! Found out about this unpleasant situation from my Breast surgeon from Newham hospital in 22/01/2024. When I was confronting them about situation on 22/01/2024, than they tried to fix the situation by sending the e-refferal link, which didnt worked, so needed to come back again on 29/01/2024, I had to deal with a very unpleasant receptionist which was making a nasty comments towards me (that around 13-14pm all people gathering to doctors, after nice breakfast and nice coffe and lunch break, ironically I’m full time worker and used my lunch breake for sorting out their mess). Again spent this time to recive same link which wasnt working! Than I heard from receptionist that she cant do in this case a lot and I need to wait till end of March for “anything” from them. I have waisted this time just put again on the waiting list.. I’m disappointed and concerned with acction of my GP, intead of helping they acctualy putting at risk! Additionally, so many times me and my family has been removed from the actual patient list. Doctors ignoring needs of the patients, not investigating anything, ignoring and neglecting. Horrible, drama.

  7. Review titled Poor Service and Unprofessional Conduct

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 December 2023

I recently had an appointment with an ENT specialist at the Royal London Hospital, who prescribed nasal spray and other medications. Some of these were unavailable at Lloyd Pharmacy inside the hospital, and I was advised to transfer the prescription to my GP at Market Street Health Centre for the remaining items. Unfortunately, my experience with the Market Street Health Centre was highly disappointing for several reasons: Issue 1: Delay and Lack of Communication I handed over the prescription to the reception at Market Street Health Centre as instructed. After waiting for a week with no update, I contacted them on 7th December 2023, only to be told that the GP couldn't help and I should go back to the hospital, which was not only inconvenient but also contradicted the original advice. Issue 2: Unprofessional Conduct When I questioned why I needed to revisit the hospital, the receptionist became angry and unprofessional. I felt compelled to warn them that I was recording the conversation due to their unacceptable behaviour. Issue 3: Inconsistent Information Adding to the confusion, later that day, I received a call from the GP's office instructing me to collect my medication from the pharmacy. This was in direct contrast to their earlier instructions. Previous Experiences: Regrettably, this is not my first negative encounter at this centre. There seems to be a consistent pattern of poor service quality. Request for Action: I strongly urge a thorough review of how prescriptions and patient communications are handled. Staff training in customer service and professional conduct seems to be urgently needed. The standard of service at Market Street Health Centre is far below what should be expected from the NHS. Such experiences undermine trust in the healthcare system and demand immediate attention. I hope this feedback leads to positive changes and better experiences for future patients.

  8. Review titled Disgusting

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Linda Mccusker - Posted on 28 November 2023

Called for blood test results as hadn't heard anything after a week of waiting told blood test was abnormal by receptionist but as Dr had prescribed statins no further action needed. I was worried and said I need to discuss with Dr. This was on Friday 17th November. Told Dr was away for a week so went online and asked for chewable statin tablets as I have trouble swallowing. On Monday 20th phoned at 8am told Dr would phone later that day. 3pm no phone call. Received SMS with link asking me to make appt! I thought I already had an appointment as I was told that morning that Dr would phone me. Phoned the surgery to clarify, said I thought I had appt but was told I needed to make appt online apparently Practice Manager had said I had to do this despite my phoning up first thing and being told a Dr would phone me. I went online no appointments until 28th November 8 days time! Received SMS message confirming appt 9am Market Street Health Centre on 28th November. Went to Market Street at 9am 28th November, told my appt was a telephone appt. It did not say anything about telephone appt on SMS! Receptionist said I had made the appt. Yes of course I had because you told me to on 20th November 8 days ago! Dr did phone me at 9.20 and said the chewable tablets were at the Pharmacy and had been there since 21st November? No one informed me. How was I supposed to know that? Also such a simple matter all I needed was to speak to a Dr regarding my abnormal blood test instead of leaving me worried and unable to sleep. As one of your vulnerable older patients I am thoroughly disgusted at your handling of this matter. I look forward with interest to your comments. Perhaps you can explain why a Practice Manager decided that I needed to make an online appointment after me ringing up in a state of anxiety.

  10. Review titled Appointment booking system

    by Jesjw84 - Posted on 05 June 2023

The online website does not work like the receptionist insist they do. Everytime I need a appointment I have to fight for it playing fastest finger first. Last time I got a appointment it was to get my breasts checked and I had to go into the surgery as I could not even get a placement to be in the telephone queue, (this was after calling everyday for 3 days) this was roughly 6 weeks ago. Now bring on today at the start of June - Again trying to get an appointment for a few days now. Was on hold for 53 minutes for the receptionist to hang up on me as I did not respond to them when they said hello. 53 minutes waiting for an appointment for my mental health, to then be hanged up on. Called back and waited an hour on hold to then be told no appointments. I asked for the complaints email which I was told is on the website. No, it is not on the website Sort out your staff members on the phone - it's disgraceful that I can never get a appointment.
